OT: Barkley rips Miami

When asked if Miami is the worst professional sports town, Barkley, who reiterated his admiration of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, said: "Yeah they have the worst fans. No question. It's not even loud in there. You're at the game and you are like, 'Man this place isn't even loud.' At least when you go to Chicago, it's loud in there, it's crazy down in Dallas but it's not even loud in Miami.

"Listen, if the Miami Heat were playing the Washington Generals I would pick the Washington Generals," Barkley said with a chuckle. "It's something about that team that annoys me.

"They just a whiny bunch and I can't root for them."

Regardless if the Heat win, I still think LBJ should have went to Chicago for that very reason. + if he wins it with MIA he aint going to come close to getting the MVP.

interesting. Ive never been to an NFL game so I'm just going on what I read... I know for a fact they do it for Sounders games. When I went there we were in a section with no one behind us, but could hear like chatter behind us it was a weird feeling lol

He's talking about fans not the team. Barkley is a character, nothing more, many times his comments on basketball are idiotic, but that's simply him playing his role on TV.

they mic the rims, and during certain shots they must increase the volume (free throws).

Say what you want about Barkley, but he speaks his mind. Sure, he might say idiotic things but he also points out what people are too afraid to say.

It's too bad the Blazers didn't pull the trigger to acquire him. He has shown love for the Rose Garden crowd and has stated that the Blazers were the one team he'd play for if he could play again.

Despite his annoying antics, he would've made a great Blazer.

I think he's still an idiot. That Miami is significantly more "whiny" than most NBA teams is a bit of a joke to me.
