You think?
They have a decent chance at Deng. He, Bosh and Wade are great in the leastern conference
Wade is over the hill. Bosh is mediocre.

Miami will be lucky to make the playoffs.
Defense usually translates to all levels. Very, very rarely is it that you're a GREAT college defender and average/less than average in the NBA. Actually, it never happens.
Draft analysts say its one thing you KNOW will translate to the NBA level for sure, and it was also a reason people had Wiggins rated higher than Parker, because he'll be an ELITE NBA level defender from day 1 guarding the 1-3 positions. You can even watch the NBA draft and that is one thing the panel unanimously agreed on - he's a great defender and will be from day 1 in the NBA, and they pointed to that as a reason Cleveland had to select him.
Kinda like how Tony Allen was picked by the Celtics purely because of his defense, he has no offensive game to speak of. They know what translates and what doesn't. He's a great defender and he will be in the NBA as well.
Cleveland but they have always had something go wrong. When it comes to sports the just have had such bad luck in the past. It'll be interesting.
With LeBron going back to Cleveland, Melo/Bosh re-signing with their respective teams and Gasol (most likely) heading to Chicago, who is the best team?
[mQUOTE=Fonzthecpt1;3396380]I don't know why melo didn't go to the bulls.
If drose is healthy they will be scary.
Cole Aldrich big 12 defensive player of the year 2009
Mook pretty much stole my example... and I'll have to do research to really get down to it... but I just do not believe that to be the case. Faster, stronger, much better and smarter players... no "nights off" will get to them... And when it comes to the media, they have an agenda to "pimp" a player, so I always take what they say with a grain of salt... Ex: If he's a great defender they'll try to take a positive spin to it.
Pretty much this.
And Stephenson, from the sounds of it, is gonna get PAID by someone who loses out in free agency with big money.
Even so, it's hard to bet against any team with LeBron. Truthfully, having a REAL PG (and a damn good one at that, Kyrie), might make LeBron an even better player than he already is, which is insane, by alleviating some PG duties from him.
Also, Wiggins, Kyrie, LeBron are all VERY, VERY good defenders for the most part and so is a healthy Varejao.
There you go, folks! What more proof do you need that Bosh is better than LMA?I agree that Bosh is overrated and Aldridge is better.

It will be a tough task finding a player who was regarded as an elite defender who doesn't translate to one in the NBA, especially with the athleticism that Wiggins has. The "best" example I could think of Hasheem Thabeet, whom was a COMPLETE bust and didn't have near the athleticm Wiggins has. If I could, I'd revise my statement to be it is easier to project a "wing" defender in the NBA, because of what I mentioned in my previous post. If you have all-world athleticism, you're still more athletic than most people in the NBA and defense tends to be about effort, pride, and how hard you're willing to work. Very, very rarely does it just disappear. It is also much easier to remain a good defender on the wing rather than as a big - bigs have to worry about timing much more as the finishing in the L is much better around the rim than college.
Also, I'd add that conference/NCAA player of the year is very skewed towards big men with the exception of the last couple years (Aaron Craft, Oladipo).
Oh man, the joke fell flat. Let me spell it out...Someone not named BGD, perhaps?
Money talks. Suckers walk.Tom Penn said on Mike & Mike that he would earn literally half of what he could in NY. 129m vs 65m
Oh man, the joke fell flat. Let me spell it out...
1 - BGD said: LMA > Bosh
2 - Whatever BGD says, the opposite is always true.
3 - Therefore Bosh is indeed better than LMA.
The proof is in the pudding!

So you're looking for someone with a worse track record than BGD? That's tough, but let me get Stephan A. Smith to weigh in!Apparently my joke did too.![]()
Really? It's one thing to be a great college defender, but how do we know Wiggins is going to be a good NBA defender? That's awfully presumptuous for 0 minutes in the NBA to say he's a VERY VERY good defender like a Lebron.
