Anyone watching the Kentucky/UNC game?

John Wall is seriously the best PG prospect I've seen since Chris Paul. He has it all. Extremely impressive. I'd easily put him ahead of Rose as a Freshman.

Whoever gets the #1 pick is damn lucky.

i'm still trying to convince the raptors forum to trade for the #1 pick.

with the way we are playing... we might have a chance to get him. hope roy approves

Kid's a stud, reminds me a lot of Wade and Rose.

However, I don't know if he necessarily goes #1. If the Nets land the top pick, they do have Devin Harris at the PG.

With that in mind though, I do think he's the top prospect in the nation right now and SHOULD go #1 in the '10 NBA Draft.

I would imagine that if the Nets have the #1 pick, they draft Wall. And then on July 1, they ask LBJ "would you like us to trade Wall or Harris"?

And speaking of Wall...looks like he might have tweaked his knee. Kentucky best hope he's not seriously hurt.

I imagine they'd draft him as well. They could also move Harris to the SG if they do get him. He's got more of a scorers mentality as it is and I think he'd work fine there. That's just a REALLY short starting back court.

Keep an eye on Patrick Patterson. He's a possible lotto pick. He'd sure look good in a Blazer uni.

Currently putting up 16/11 and plays like a bull in the mold of a Brandon Bass.

It's an easy choice on their part, you trade Harris for a SG and not think twice about it.

That run in the first half was impressive. You're right, he is pretty awesome. But they have a few others that are good and are great at running the floor. Patterson runs the floor well.

I haven't followed much college yet this year, but I was under the impression Wall was like 6'5? And Harris is 6'3? :dunno:

EDIT: Wall's listed at 6'4 on the Fox Sports website.

Maybe LeBron doesn't want to play with a rookie PG. Or maybe he does. I'm just saying that you take him no matter what, and then trade him for value if you need to (i.e., LeBron says so. :) )

This summer he was measured at a tad over 6'1" in his barefeet in Portland (team USA)

Size wise, he's Rondo.

Wall is crazy athletic but I think its a little early to say he's "easily" better than Derrick Rose as a freshman...Look what Rose did in the playoffs last year. 19 6 6 on 50% shooting. He turned the ball over a lot but he was playing against the Celtics...I'm really excited to see Wall in the NBA next year...I think he is more OJ Mayo than DRose though.

What Rose did in the playoffs last year has nothing to do with his game and development back in Memphis.

I don't really see much Mayo in him. He doesn't have that great of a jumper yet.

And to add, his decision making isn't as good as Rose. Nor is he as strong or as good a finisher. But he's definitely faster with the ball. Wow, just wow.

And I think the Nets draft him and trade away Devin Harris for a few more pieces on that team. They got a good future.

Most likely, though, the Nets won't get the #1 pick. Even if they finish with the worst record, they have a below 50% chance of getting the top pick. That's what has to suck as a Nets fan...watching all these losses and knowing you're not even likely to get Wall.

Yea because he completely transformed his game from college to the NBA....?

No, because his jumper was a lot better in the pros than in Memphis. Also, he made much more better decisions, along with his ability to to read the defenses.

Another reason why I want the Raptors to tank it

A more interesting prospect is the NYK's getting the #1 pick.

That pick is now unprotected and will go to the Jazz. Possibly the worst move I.T. made. It's gotta suck to be a Knick fan.

But to get the point, do you take Wall if you are Utah?

When did the Jazz get their unprotected 1st round pick?

And if you're Utah, you don't take Wall since you have Deron Williams. You trade that pick and get yourself a better SG or SF.

It's also really interesting because many of the teams in the running for Wall, at this point, already have PGs (Harris, Deron). I think they'll trade Wall for a lot of talent. He'll look good in Minnesota feeding it to Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Corey Brewer and co.

DWILL is the man. You trade that pick in a heartbeat!
