Punched out a fire extinguisher window, sliced up his hand, and now has his hand in stitches.

Idiot.

Maybe if he wasn't a selfish player in search of a super team he wouldn't have these issues.

And the Knicks are on the hook for this guy for the max for years to come.

This won't stop him from be productive on the court, but got wonder if he is worth a max contract these days.

Didn't he go to the Knicks before anyone else? For a while it was just him and Felton (after Billups). Melo came later, so I think if you have anyone to pin that on it's Melo rather than Amare.

A lot of people saw his decline coming too though. Had a good first year as a Knick when he was the centerpiece but fucked knees + eye injuries and hes going to be 30 in November.

Not going to be pretty watching him go through a decline like Webber, Elton Brand, Karl Malone, etc.

You've got your order wrong. Amare and Felton came to the Knicks at the same time. THEN Billups came with Melo. Felton went to Denver.

Malone was good for a long time.... Webber on the other hand declined very fast. So did McDyess, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, and Kemp.

Brand declined because of two season ending injuries very close to each other. His Achilles injury then his Shoulder injury the next year, both season ending ones. Was more of a bottoming out then a decline.

SAR did not decline at all, Portland just refused to use him correctly.

I would definitely pay Thabeet thousands of dollars to make an inspirational speech to my anti-rape manhater group.

Sunday Dear Abby ran a letter from the father of an 8 year old boy who beats his dog when his favorite team loses. I guess Amar'e is marginally better. At least he's only hurting himself, his team, the fans ... but not the dog.

Must have learned the behavior from somewhere.

Just landed back in NYC. Stoudemire met w/hand specialist. No serious damage, but he's done for series, according to person w/info.

What sort of speaker would you invite to a PRO-rape manhater group?

Just asking......

Amare finally attacking the glass. Good for him.

I actually like this, Carmello was balling out of his mind when he played the 4.

But now 'Mello will get doubled.

A NYC beatwriter had a gem:

"Landry Fields tried to hit the same fire extinguisher but missed."
