MCW with the behind the back to Hawes for the clutch shot. This is a fun team.

26 points, 10 assists, 4 Rebs, 3 steals, and the win over Chicago. 3-0 baby.

How could so many teams have been so wrong about Michael Carter- Williams?

Someone laughed at me for saying Philly was good.

Beating Miami and Chicago really shut them up. :)

He looks good but lets wait a little bit before crowning him the best rookie since Oscar. He has looked good but he is also shooting really really well for a guy who is supposed to be unable to shoot (.48% FG and .50% from 3). Rookies and players who have gotten little to no run and are suddenly in the starting lineup can take teams by surprise because there is no or little video of them for defenses to analyzes. Once teams have videos of him we will really see how good this kid is.

Impressive few games but I think he will come back down to earth and end up being Tyreke 2.0 which isn't a bad thing by any means.

If I were a Sixers fan I'd be super excited by this kid. And in a couple of months as reality kicks in I would be very nostalgic for that excitement.

No question MCW is better than a lot of people thought. But is he as good as he's looking right now? Almost certainly not. This is Carter-Williamsanity!

I think his percentages will come down and he will end up shooting around .400, but his passing skills are legit, he's an 8ish assist guy imo

Well ya know when Brandon was a rookie many people thought he would hit the rookie wall and his percentages would go down to.

A worrying sign for the Sixers (except insofar as their real intention is to tank) is that their defense is crap and right now they're winning on offense. Hands up if you expect THAT to last.

Everyone forgot him because they confused Michael Carter-Williams with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

What happened to this guy? Backing up Rondo?

Multiple bad teams have given up on him. That's never a good sign (See: Robinson, Thomas). He was given the starting PG job in PHI and lost it. Was traded to MIL, where he was once again given the starting PG job, and lost it.

He has had some sort of injury every year he's been in the league, and his scoring and many of his advanced stats have gone down every year.

What's really kind of amazing, is that very first game is his best ever (if you go by the basketball-reference.com GmSc - single game equivalent of PER). He actually did get a couple triple doubles later in his rookie year, but the GmSc of 34.7 for that very first NBA game remains his highest, by far (second highest = 26.0). Talk about peaking too soon...
