OT: Sixers cut Royce White

Dunno. But he must of done something stupid because the guy can play.

He's gotta drop the no-fly rule of his.

Heavy sedatives before every plane ride?

He should start doing it John Madden and Tony Kornheiser style and get a motor home and hire some drivers. Maybe he can hire Jeff Van Gundy to drive.

Maybe the Heat will waive Beasley and pick up White.

If Larry Brown was still coaching NBA he'd be after him. He loved soft guys with skillz, like Stanley Roberts and Hot Plate Williams.

I just don't see White doing well in Portland. Very much an overlap player.

The Lakers should take a flyer on him. They got nothing to lose this year and with the Clippers and Golden State being in state, he could make a lot of the games by car. Basically lose him for east coast road trips.

If he is good, it would be worth it (assuming he isn't a head case in the locker room)

That must be some next level fear of heights/enclosed spaces/crashing.

Really sad. Before the draft I thought Philly would be the best place for him because they're so close to several other NBA cities.

Nobody. He's toxic shit and not at all worth the headache. PLenty ofguys can play like him with no headache.

The guy got tossed from a game earlier this week for going off on the opposing bench, and this was after he actually played well. It doesn't take a genius to think that a player as emotionally fragile as White is going to get head games from players on the other team, and clearly he doesn't have the mental capacity to deal with the verbal abuse.

Of course, he's just not very good, either, which may have something to do with him being cut.

The 22-year-old White is averaging five points, four rebounds, 3.5 turnovers and 18 minutes in four preseason games. He’s shot 7-for-17 from the field and has made 5-of-10 free throws.

The guy has more mental problems than just a fear of flying. You know anyone like that, Realist?

I'm surprised he played preseason, but I stick to my prediction of last summer that he will never play an NBA game. (I guess I meant, regular season.)

I think we can both relate to that question, but I'm not sure why it had to be brought up in a thread about Royce White.

The guy just isn't nearly gifted enough to be worth the headache.

He's Paul Millsap on his best day, which is very nice NBA player, yet Justin Bieber on his worst day, which is hilarious in terms of the immaturity and drama while pretending to play ball. Not worth it at all, but someone will give him a 10-day contract later this season.

There's only a handful of players that could get away with the kind of preferential treatment that he demands.

Dennis Rodman
Meta Ron Artest
Rasheed Wallace
Stephen Jackson
Vernon Maxwell
Chris Anderson
Michael Ray Richardson
Shawn Kemp.

Feel free to add to this list, but it takes a lot of talent to overcome being a role-playing shithead, let alone a franchise player, and those I listed actually proved to have a legitimate NBA skill level that meant they have or had a decent career.

This guy trumps them all with his "no fly" bullshit.

Wonderboy Daryl Morey deserves more criticism than Rolls. What was the pick, 16?

Zeller was still undrafted. If Morey wanted a gamble, Sullinger was there. Middleton, Crowder, etc. were still on the board. Nicholson, Terrence Jones.
