Flyer....ouch.Who will take a flyer on him?
He's gotta drop the no-fly rule of his.
Heavy sedatives before every plane ride?
Flyer....ouch.
I just don't see White doing well in Portland. Very much an overlap player.
The 22-year-old White is averaging five points, four rebounds, 3.5 turnovers and 18 minutes in four preseason games. He’s shot 7-for-17 from the field and has made 5-of-10 free throws.
The guy got tossed from a game earlier this week for going off on the opposing bench, and this was after he actually played well. It doesn't take a genius to think that a player as emotionally fragile as White is going to get head games from players on the other team, and clearly he doesn't have the mental capacity to deal with the verbal abuse.
Of course, he's just not very good, either, which may have something to do with him being cut.
The guy has more mental problems than just a fear of flying. You know anyone like that, Realist?
The guy just isn't nearly gifted enough to be worth the headache.
He's Paul Millsap on his best day, which is very nice NBA player, yet Justin Bieber on his worst day, which is hilarious in terms of the immaturity and drama while pretending to play ball. Not worth it at all, but someone will give him a 10-day contract later this season.
There's only a handful of players that could get away with the kind of preferential treatment that he demands.
Dennis Rodman
Meta Ron Artest
Rasheed Wallace
Stephen Jackson
Vernon Maxwell
Chris Anderson
Michael Ray Richardson
Shawn Kemp.
Feel free to add to this list, but it takes a lot of talent to overcome being a role-playing shithead, let alone a franchise player, and those I listed actually proved to have a legitimate NBA skill level that meant they have or had a decent career.
That must be some next level fear of heights/enclosed spaces/crashing.
