Sumlin couldn't produce at A&M, the school with the highest revenue in the country. Outside of the Johnny Football years he has been 8-5 every season, except this season before being fired, he was 7-5. He is way too similar to Helfrich, both are extremely average coaches that were propped up by Hesiman QBs. Oh, and both are HORRID talent evaluators when it comes to coaching, both had horrendous DC hires. You would take Tedford over Sumlin?! As a Beaver fan, I hope you get what you ask for. Tedford was 50-45 in PAC 10 play when he was at CAL and he left them in shambles. Kevin Sumlin would be a smooth transition from Taggert.
I'm not saying Tedford would be my go to guy but at least he has Oregon ties, and has had a resurgence in his career. He knows how to recruit the west coast.
