So What? They're both legit. Kentucky isnt.i You're the one saying Gonzaga would get ran, because Dukes looked good against some crap teams and a middling tournament in Kentucky.

Kentucky won't even be top 2 in the SEC this year, and could be worse than Florida and LSU as well.

First, they'll probably never play each other.

Second, how you gonna tell me why I said they'd get ran?

Looking good against whoever isn't the reason.

RH ain't even on the same planet as Zion, let alone Barrett or Reddish.

So if Gonzaga's best player isn't a good as Duke's top 3.... :dunno:

Also, I've seen RH play extensively. He's A'ight.... He can play but he has no dog and doesn't play D.

And why do you keep bringing up Kentucky? I haven't said one word about them.

I think Zion is by far the best prospect and should be the number one pick because if he works to be a great basketball player to go along with the freakish athleticism well he’s a rare athlete.

The arguement for Barrett to me is that just pure basketball ability, he’s better than Zion right now. If some team doesnt believe that Zion will reach his full potential for whatever reason than I could see them taking Barrett #1.

For me though, athletes like Zion are so rare that it seems like you just have to take him, trust his work ethic, your coaching staff. Im not trying to say that Zion is just an athlete, just that he’s “more” athlete than basketball player right now. He already looks to have good basketball instincts, and BBIQ.

Now I dont really care about Gonzaga, and if they played in march, well who knows the NCAA tournament doesnt usually have the best team win, its what makes it so exciting. Duke will be favored in every game they play this year, for whatever thats worth.

My only concern about Zion would be, it appears to me, that much of his dominance is based on athleticism. Nothing against that but if he ever gets hurt and doesn't have that same level of athleticism, how much will it diminish his game?

From what I have seen (and I'll admit it is minimal), Barrett has a skill set that would allow him to still be highly functional even without the overwhelming athleticism.

Some very athletic guys have long careers (Malone, LeBron) but others lose it after a while and diminish rapidly (Gerald Wallace anyone?).

Not sure which Zion will be but that is my .02 (and with inflation, worth even less than that).

You have to differentiate between athleticism and power. Zion happens to have both, but he can always fall back on that Barkley/Shaq style of play if the athleticism fails him. Maybe not so much in the modern NBA, but he'll always be a handful.

Obviously you're not paying enough attention to the fucking conversation since my whole point is Duke hasn't played anyone legitimate. A lot of Zions looks have been because of poor defense. I havent see much of him breaking guys down. He won't look as good against a legitimate defense.

Also, college basketball rewards team play. You know how many "superteams" I've seen fail? You sound like a cliche casual fan drooling over the top 3 players in the draft.

They'll probably never play each other? They're the top 2 teams in an 8 team bracket in a tournament later this month, so you're making claims when you don't know what you're talking about.

Next time, before you enter a conversation, know what it's about, bro.
 
I didn’t want to like Zion, the hype is out of control, but...he looks pretty legit to me. And remember, he’s 18. What is he going to look like once he gets in an NBA strength program? What is he going to look like in three, four, five years when experience catches up with his physical traits? And he’s not just athleticism. Yes his game is based around it, but I see a pretty good bball IQ as well. And unless he just eats his way out of the league, he’ll probably always be more athletic than everybody, even in ten years when he loses some of it. Look at LeBron.

I haven’t seen enough prospects to say he should go number one, but I’d be surprised if I found anyone more deserving.

I don't like either team that much and don't GAF who they've played.

Gonzaga's best player isn't as good as Dukes top 3.

No, I've watched a lot basketball careers get made.

I've seen Hachimura play in person and it was underwhelming.

Since the PK80 Gonzaga has been hyping him.

He's never shown an iota of defense.

HE'LL HAVE TO GUARD ZION...

I thought Zion was overhyped until I watched him play... the dude is unreal... a physical specimen like I’ve never seen... I mean, he is right now more ripped than any NBA player and he is only 18... he has Ben Wallace body with Charles Barkley skill set and Shaq’s Attitude... IMO, Zion is the most exciting prospect since LeBron

I'll be rooting for them for the first time ever and I can't wait until they SMASH Gonzaga.

Haha not to sound creepy but I love it. The skybox game was fantastic, learned he’s a lot more talkative than me (hope thats the nice way to say it!). He’s saying things that Im thinking, he’s passionate about basketball and he wears it. Its awesome.
Sure I havent seen every Zaga game, but Zion, Reddish, Barrett are going to be the the best tandem on the court every game. Doesnt mean they cant be beat, but Zaga sure wont be favored, and Isnt as talented as Duke is...
