Although we don't have that prototypical down low, low post offensive threat player like LA was, we have 5 guys battling for those 2 spots right?
Meyers,Festivus,Plumlee,Davis and Vonleh.........

That's 5 guys, five with an F! There actually is only enough minutes for 3 of them to really get out there. I'm sure since they all kinda' bring different things to the court, Stotts will change his rotation depending on who we are playing, but that's going to be tough for two of these guys.

Will Meyers' ability to spread the floor work best with Ezili? Will Davis and Mase's constant activity work best together?

Who is the odd man out, Noah? Should be fun to watch this all come together. Camp starts in roughly in 74 days......tick tock FAMS.

23 wins?

About time you dropped a quality thread...my response is that we basically replaced Kaman and Alexander..the real question is who wears the suit...Layman and Aminu can play the 4 too....Layman will wear the suit more than Vonleh. Leonard can't really play until just before the allstar break...it's like injury insurance. I'd limit Ezeli's minutes until after the allstar break and play him a lot going into the playoffs. I think Leonard will come off the bench with Ed or Festus in the beginning and Plumlee probably starts with Aminu again until the new guy gets familiar

I don't usually respond seriously to threads that make me laugh right away but here goes.

I'd start Meyers and Ezeli. Meyers would spend most of his time at the top of the 3pt line and we'd have lots of ball movement and Dame and CJ and Turner slashing to the hoop looking for Ezeli for alley oops and putbacks. If they sag off of Meyers, I'd get him to shoot 500 swish threes this year. Or is it swish3, either way.

What did I say that was so funny son?
I laughed because you either

A. Don't know what prototypical means
B. Really thought LMA was a post player

PS, my serious reply was bullshit anyway.

I understand LA shot TONS of Js, but when he wanted to, he donated down low. Look at the Rockets series for example. Just saying we always knew if we HAD to go down low, we could. We obviously don't have that option anymore.

Yeah, it felt like charity every time he decided to post up.

Pretty much once a year for tax purposes.

Not a problem. None of those guys have historically been high minute players. 4 of the 5 will get minutes when healthy. And Noah Vonleh has not played well enough to warrant a spot in the rotation. But he'll get minutes due to foul trouble or injury.

Exactly; we have two guys who deserve 26-28 minutes a game (Aminu, Plumlee), and two guys who deserve 16-18 minutes a game (Davis, Ezeli), and one guy who will pick up the slack:

Aminu (28) / Davis (16) / Vonleh (4)
Plumlee (26) / Ezeli (18) / Vonleh (4)

Done and done.

Aminu (24) / Davis (18) / Vonleh (6)
Ezeli (16) / Plumlee (18) / Leonard (14)

I tried to make it work, but even with Vonleh getting the zero minutes he deserves, it wouldn't. We need a trade.

I agree that we need a trade, but I think it might be smart to wait until the deadline. Meyers is ahead of schedule, and Ezeli says he's healthy but both are semi question marks heading into the season.

With that said, Plumlee makes the most sense to trade. There's no way we can pay him next summer without going DEEP into the tax and we could fetch a modest asset for him. I think Aminu / Ezeli / Leonard / Davis is the most logical and complementary front court rotation as well, especially since Davis can play both the 4 and the 5 whereas Plums is a pure 5.

This right here.

I just don't trust Ezeli to be a starter for us. If we have to make a decision about Plumlee, we will know by the time we do who is worth keeping and who needs to be traded.

If Ezeli starts it doesnt mean he is playing 36 miutes. He can start and still play 24. I think The tossup is AMinu or Leonard at the four.
