Point guard Kirk Hinrich has reportedly told confidantes in Chicago the Blazers are interested and have spoken with Bulls management about acquiring him. Hinrich, 28, has three years and $26.5 million remaining on his contract, including $9.5 million next season.

Blazer forward Travis Outlaw has told confidantes in Portland he has heard that Portland has talked about sending him to Chicago in a deal for Hinrich. Outlaw, who turns 25 in September, will make $4.0 million in the final year of his contract next season.

And he told people last summer he was going to Memphis.

Travis has thought he was going to be traded for the last two years.

We've all heard that KP is after Kirk, does he also like Tyrus? A little blurb from Hoopsworld:

The Kirk Hinrich and Tyrus Thomas trade rumor came and went with no avail. Portland chased Tyler Hansbrough (13 overall to Indiana) but couldn't catch up to him as he went just at the end of the lottery. Yet it was addition by subtraction, as disgruntled reserve point guard Sergio Rodriguez (along with cash considerations) was shipped to Sacramento for the 31st pick.

When and where did this rumor come from?

OLive is buzzing with Ben Gordon to Portland rumors... Not such a bad idea, either...

A team source has confirmed to me that the trade will actually be for Urlacher and Cutler.

i heard it was hinirch and deng...not thomas

I don't think it's been floated by any credible sources, but a few days back during the draft I threw that idle speculation out there and I know Dave from Blazersedge.com has thrown hints out there that he thinks that's a combo the Blazers could be interested, and if you go back to the trade deadline this is the deal Jason Quick had reported was supposedly on the table , but because of Deng's BYC status there were some serious snags.

I don't think there have been any whispers or murmurs about this deal lately.

Just say "no" to Ben Gordon. We don't want his fans on our board any more than they already are.

I heard he was being traded to "Bass Masters"

Not from any legitimate, credible source we haven't.

KP can't be going after such a mediocre player when we need someone incredibly special at the point.

What happened to "Let it bake!"?

You think that the Blazers went from being a dynasty that just needed time with NO additions (rookie or free agents) to needing someone "incredibly special" because we traded away Sergio?

Dude. That's messed up.
