If I am making a "big deal" of anything, it's that I don't understand why you guys are so invested in this, and I'm fine with that.

Digs may have been the wrong word. I meant that I have been answering every question people have had about my role in this, and I am going to be finished with that soon. So if you have questions now would be the time. Or, if you simply wanted to comment and have me reply. But digs did apply to some of the posts, even if those posts were deserved. Your line of posts I think take digs at me, which I'm fine with, they are not name calling, they are saying what I agree with, that I acted inappropriately. But I did mean more than just digs.

You're right to call it stylistic. I think there are many of us--myself certainly included--that say the same things that PapaG does. His particular genius is to say it in such a clever way as it gets under the skin of the target. As for me, I'm more of a clumsy, blunt instrument.

However, there is a huge double standard on this board. The strange thing is, I've been on both sides, as have several other posters. Sometimes it favors you, other times it works against you.

This is where the problem comes. The double standards exist in the moderating, but more importantly, with the posters.

I admit I will go after posters sometimes, but I have no problem with posters coming back at me. My problem is with the posters that attack, and then start whining and playing the victim card.

Feel free to go back and read the two threads that led to this, page 12 of the transgeder thread and the slypokerdog is a horrible person thread. I don't think I played the victim card at all until after he was banned and then logged on using a different name and started posting all out slanderous lies. Even then I didn't do much other than say they were lies. I think it's bs to insinuate otherwise.

EDIT: if this was not directed at me, sorry, a little touchy

I would say just the opposite. You are excellent at attacking or challenging someone's post. You lay it out there pretty damn clear, "What you are saying is BS and this is why..." You're not one to attack the poster. PapaG tends to directly attack the person he is disagreeing with. You don't.

You too are a person who attacks the post but not the poster. You go after someone's opinion on a subject, you don't go after the person themselves.

Truth be told, I feel that I am partly to blame for getting him all riled up. At least early on in the conversation. I chimed in regarding the self victimizing nature and the myopic, narrow view..admittedly I did so in an attacking manor because of the total lack of respect I feel for the other poster. This fostered the need for SPD to come to the rescue and redact not only my post but the entire thread, topic and all. As I implied at that time, I believed SPD acted graciously and without fault.
I honestly feel that the antagonizing attitude that PapaG was contending with had just as much to do with his departure, and watching this hanging party with the antagonist dancing on the fresh grave has been a joke..
