Having said that, the mods didn't really have a choice. Forget the personal insults and who said what first, papag was literally asking to get banned. Once you reach that mentality where you want to get banned, you can and will say anything. So it turned into papag daring the mods to ban him by being as inflammatory as he possibly can be. When you reach that stage, you either ban (or suspend) him or let him take over the board.

I view this community board, especially the OT board, sort of like my cyber family. I've learned through time that just because you are family, doesn't mean you will automatically agree on politics, religion and other things (how to raise kids). And being family it is really easy to voice your opinion. It often leads to heated disagreements. But in the end they are still family . . . and who I enjoy spending my free time with.

Papag imploded leaving the mods no choice. I hope after cooler heads prevail, we open are arms to papag and all enjoy another Blazer season. It is what we would all want and hope for from our family.

Someone above said that crandc didn't have a meltdown. Looks like one to me.

To say that some on this board don't get away with more than others is pure nonsense. And, I don't want crandc banned any more than I wanted PapaG banned. I've been cut slack for things I've said that I expected to be edited. I'm not complaining about how this board is moderated, because Sly is as good as it gets, and he does most of the editing here.


Screw calling someone a bigot over gay issues. Would you say that what crandc said was attacking the post or the poster? "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on" seems to me like attacking the poster. I don't know what else you could call that.

How about when kingspeed posted the three guys, dicks in hand, having a circle jerk?
I asked a number of questions about that, and I don't recall getting any answers. (Like, is it ok to post porn here now.) That pic was not work friendly and should have been deleted the minute it was posted.

This board has a liberal and pro-gay slant (like calling a person with a penis a guy is hate speech). But most here are from Portland, so it's not exactly shocking that they lean that way. I don't care that it does, or I would exercise my ability to leave and go elsewhere. But to say crandc and ks don't get away with stuff that others don't is simply wrong, imo.

If the mods want to edit my posts, so what? I can leave if I don't like it. If they want to ban me, there are plenty of other places to talk Blazers.

I'm not trying to bitch about the moderating. It's exceptional. But there are those that are treated differently when it comes to editing.
