Hey HCP, I went back and read that bumped bendavis thread. I dug your take and how you handled things. I hope you post in more OT threads, and not just the controversial ones. Peace FAMS
 
I get PM's from mods telling me that a certain poster is autistic and lives in his dads basement so I should be nice to him. Only to find out it was a lie....

As one of PapaG's favorite targets, I lament that it came to that. Your statement of him being unable to differentiate between personal attacks and differences of opinion is absolutely spot on. Hopefully he can grow from this experience, but I doubt it.

That guy needed to be set straight. As for the OT Forum. That's a little out of my comfort level. I'm the first to say I'm not a very educated person. You might say I have more street smarts than book smarts.

I am not up to speed on topics like politics and the stock market. That's sad, because I know that I should be, that's just not my forte.

I do know the fuck out of basketball though..... So I'll tread over there now and then, but I know my place.....FAMS!

Whats funny is, I've worked with many autistic people and he exhibited none of the characteristics of autism. But I didn't care enough to make a stink about it.

No, sly PM'd me about it. Autistic people tend to not be very socialable and comfortable with discussing things like what we discuss here. Especially the things he's talked about in regards to women. I've yet to meet a person with autism (that isn't main streamed) that would act the way he does on here. It's just not something they're comfortable doing.

At different times a few people have said some fucked up things to BigGameDamien over the way and what he posts. So I made up this story about how BGD was this 20 something autistic kid who loved the Blazers and video games. I said that his dad had pm'd me and told me that BGG really enjoyed posting here. Then when someone who crack on BGG I would send this to them in a PM.

They would feel really bad and stop ripping on BGD.

From where I read it, with nobody on ignore, you and PapaG are 2 peas in a pod.

But any board without a couple of drama queens gets pretty dull.
