OT Passive Aggressive Snark

Well me personally i prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt before i judge them a bigot or discriminating against anything.
More than happy to continue it, but not here. not gonna subjugate myself to hasty judgements without being provided the benefit of the doubt and asked to clarify.

im one of the most non bigoted, accepting of all people, there are here. Because a person is brainstorming a conversation does not mean they have made a final analysis on thier opinion. Or thier “ nonthought out” post doesnt need a bit of direction without labeling it as not worthy of anything more than snark.

I try to do the same.

I also try to be careful what I post so it can't be taken wrong. I'm not always successful in that endeavor.

I know you are good dude. I don't think for a minute you are a bigot etc. Some of your viewpoints tread a controversial line.

Again he probably should have asked for clarity

I think both of you were misunderstood.

So, you were saying there should be weight classes like in boxing for all sports. I don't think that would work. We can have a conversation on why if you like, but it's not important to my point here.

You used the special Olympics as an analogy. It was bad analogy sorry. Again We can go into that too if you'd like.

Your take on changing the process of competition to better fit trans people was taken as being discriminatory in trying to divide trans people from other competitors. I would still like clarification from you and Hoop on those posts.

Minstrel reacted. He used sarcasm, because he thought it was ridiculous to advocate such discriminatory divisions.

Could he have asked for clarification probably.
I was just suggesting a way to make it more fair, was to have sanctioned class option of some sort. League, Conference, State, City. Its probably not practical at this point but maybe something they can experiment with and as the trans community grows they could be ahead of the curve. The are certain sports where they factor in physical differences already. Boxing, wrestling weight classes for fairness. In HS I wrestled at 106 my frosh year and there were times the opposing team didn't have anyone for me to wrestle. My son same thing. Ive been to junior wrestling & HS matches where girls are wrestling boys but Ive never seen a boy wrestling in the girls class in HS.
IMO, Trans gals should compete against guys and trans guys could compete against trans gals. And they could call it co-ed if they want.

I get crap in here - from every direction, on virtually every subject - all of the time. Basically, it all stems from my religious and political beliefs. Moreover, because I voted twice for Trump. Prior to that, I did just fine. Been a well liked moderator here in past years, as well. At any rate, in light of the jabs, accusations, and insults, I've engaged in snarky snark, facetiousness, and/or sarcasm on many occasions.

It's a majority liberal/moderate forum, so that's not a surprise.

I try to respect that you have your beliefs and I have mine even though we often don't agree.

It's a matter of how to rectify ones beliefs and principles with opposing ones.

But, if you willingly jump aboard a sinking, rat infested ship. It seems to me that you should have to go down... with it.

I agree it's not practical. I understand the discomfort and unfamiliarity of men wrestling women and vice versa, but that solution would be discriminatory at its root.

The weight change only comes because of the issue with gender which is discrimination.

I thought barfo got rid of all the rats

Well said

Nah. I eat what I kill, but if I kill them all I will not have anything more to eat.

It's like the old saying, "give a man a rat, he'll eat for a day; teach a man to hunt rats sustainably, he'll eat like a king".

barfo

So now we’ve moved from trees falling in the woods to sharks?

True story.

Hard to believe.
