Point guard Patty Mills, who played for the Blazers as a rookie last season and on their summer league team in July, is not expected to be a part of camp. The Blazers issued Mills a qualifying contract offer over the summer, but he has not signed it. :tsktsk:

How is he demanding a trade when he isn't under contract? He can play in Europe and we'll still have his rights I believe. If not so what?

Too early in the morning for a little tongue-in-cheek humor apparently.

Apparently he will be in camp. http://www.blazersedge.com/2010/9/23/1707176/whats-up-with-patty-mills

"GM Rich Cho said today by telephone from NBA meetings in New York City that he does expect Patty Mills to sign the team's qualifying offer and attend training camp next week, although no agreement has been signed yet.

Earlier Thursday, Mills wrote on his Twitter that he is, "loving the support from the Oregonians!!! Hope we can keep it up" and said he was "on the way to the airport".

I think he's just trying to keep his options open. and so are the Blazers.
