Patty wants to return to Portland

Btw, I think a change of role would help him a lot in Portland.

Instead of being a PG I think he'd fit in best in that JJ Barea type of role: SG.

A link would be nice. Why was he released? He won't be a Blazer again. He's so good in the D-League that he'll catch on to an NBA team. Probably has to play in the D a month before an NBA opening comes up.

Shit yeah! I'm sorry Armon, but I'd cut you right now. Except, Patty's injured isn't he?

He can play Nolan 1 on 1 for a spot

Nolan would wipe the floor with him

I think he'd thrive in this (new) system and in the JJ Barea role.

Nate would rather have Armon. Paul Allen doesn't care anymore. He just wanted to give Mills a try and he got 2 years. The Woj twitters are saying Mills won't be allowed back till March. Add it all up, and he won't be a Blazer again.

Sure, why not? He'd make a nice little hood ornament for this team's current chemistry... and he can't be any worse than "The Hammer," right?

He can hit one or two 3 points in a 5-10mpg stretch if needed. He can handle the backup PG spot if Crawford needs help bringing the ball up since Nolan is still a bit green. I'd feel far more confident with Patty on the floor than Armon, although we don't want either one out there for more then rare spot minutes.

If Paul Allen wants to eat Armons salary then go ahead and sign the guy! Now I'm not sure about the March contract issue, but if he was cut how can he not be allowed to sign here? Kind of odd.

I'd take Patty over Armon anyday. Since neither will play much, Patty's presence in the locker room and and on the bench alone make him better than Armon.

Indeed. Batum has already been pining for Patty.

Armon just doesn't seem to have the head for basketball. He is slightly more of physical specimen than Nolan, but not much. He's sort of like a pint-sized, non-asshole Ruben Patterson: i.e. a bit of a spazz with no NBA-level skill outside of athleticism.

I get the feeling that on the right team with some consistent playing time that Armon would be ok. I just dont think that this team comes close to being that team right now. If Patty helps with that chemistry even more then Im all for that.
