Paul Allen has got to like what he sees from his Seahawks..

The Cowboys first training camp was in Oregon. The Cowboys became the Cowboys in Oregon. They have more of a connection to Oregon than the Seahawks or 49ers.

The more you know.

One team's visit to a city does not make it a city's team.

I never said they were a city's team. I said they have more of a connection to Oregon than the 'hawks or '9ers.

Would be bad ass if Seattle and San Fran played a preseason game at Autzen. Fans here would go nuts.

Trying to argue with fans about why they're fans.... that will work.

For my parents' generation, I'd argue the Bay Area teams have more toes than the Cowboys (now, the Cowgirls are EVERYONE's team). Under today's standards, if the C-awks weren't in Seattle, SF and Oak would run the NW. So, growing up in those conditions, that's what the locals grew up rooting for. It's a big reason why there's so many Giants/A's/Raiders/Niners fan base here.

Ha. Nate, the voice of reason. And a legit Niners fan.

I ain't hating on the C-awks. I just think there's been a C-mature e-cawk-ulation. They have talent, for sure. But one game..... Aww, hell, as I said earlier..... Lotta Blazers fans here. We're known for anointing the next...? Just par for the course.

The Cincinnati Bengals made arguably their greatest move of the season this week.

The Bengals re-signed defensive tackle Devon Still to their practice squad Sunday to help him pay for his 4-year-old daughter's cancer treatments. He was waived by the team last Saturday.

Still learned back in June that his daughter, Leah, has stage-four pediatric cancer. Since the diagnosis, Still's mind understandably hasn't been completely on football as he missed parts of organized team activities and minicamp this offseason to be with his daughter, which is why he understood the team's decision to cut him.

"I completely understand where the Bengals were coming from when they cut me because I couldn't give football 100 percent," Still told ABC News.

But when Still received the call this morning that he had been signed to the practice squad and would receive health insurance as well as a weekly salary of $6,300, he was incredibly grateful. Still also will remain in the game he loves, for the team that drafted him, without all of the traveling, meaning he can be closer to his daughter as she undergoes treatments.

"They could have washed their hands with me and said they didn't care about what I was going through off the field," Still said. "It's like a blessing in disguise for me."

They look really good, as long as they keep winning there's no reason to think they aren't the class of the NFL right now.

As far as Oregon bandwagon fans, I couldn't really say since I havent lived there in a decade plus but back then seahawk fans were nonexistent. winning has a way of turning people into casual fans pretty quickly though, and casual fans into die hard fans.

All that said, bring born and raised in the bay area, GO NINERS, through thick and thin

I can respect that.

I think they may very well be the best team in the NFL this year. But one of the all time greats? I'm going to need to see more evidence.

When I think all time great teams i think 70s steelers, 80s niners, people always come back to the 85 bears and I can feel that, but you gotta win at least 4 super bowls in a decade or so to get into that group IMO. If we are talking one year? Probably the undefeated dolphins, can't really argue with results

Don't tell c-awks fans. They've blown their wad over their first taste of victory. Can't blame 'em. They've never tasted victory. I'm sure it'll be similar for many Blazers fans IF they ever win a 'ship. I did it with the SF Giants when they won, though they legitimized it with a second WS a short time later. The big difference is that I didn't pretend they were among the greatest.

I'm no Seahawks fan, but I'd rather be a Seahawks fan who is compared to a blazer fan than a niner fan which is basically the same as being a laker fan. Yuck.

Yeah. No. Not the same. At all.

The C-awks fans are far crazy from blazers fans, so that comparison is loose. It's like a mix of Lakers and Blazers fans = C-awks fans. They think and act like the greatest ever, but have no history of winning. Plenty history of whining.

The L*ker comparison is better applied to the C*wboys.
