LeBron will come for the Lux Exception because Paul and Uncle Phil teamed up. Phil will build the LeBron Center in Nike Town when the G-League will play and Paul will help pay for it because it is a Blazer affiliation. Nike will sign LeBron to a new MASSIVE endorsement deal and start a new shoe line to be the next generation after the Jordan Brand.

Earlier today, reports stated Lebron felt he had a "blank check" to go anywhere or do anything he wanted to. Essentially, the guy has already secured his legacy and is making $100 million a year for the rest of his life through Nike so, at this point, Lebron could choose to join the Warriors for the vet minimum if he wanted to.

Imo, what will happen this summer is Lebron states Portland was in the Top 3 as a potential destination but ultimately, settles on Houston. The Whiteside treatment, essentially.

Don't do this. Oh my god if it doesn't happen, if so many things I'm hoping happen don't happen, well I just might pull a reverse grinch.

I'd be so happy though holy crap. I'm at a great place in life right now regardless, but if we got Lebron, well that would push me into Nirvana.


Nike could sponsor our jerseys for Lebrons doings too. Come on Bron Bron, make it happen!!!!
 
I don't care what any fan or reporter says. Neil and Paul need to take this very seriously. Before Scottie Pippen came to Portland the Blazers where considered a dark horse as well.

Yes.

They need to fly to Cleveland tonight, break into Lebrons house, tranq him and his family, and bring them to Portland. Wake them up in the hallway of the arena with a mural of Lebron holding Larry reading the caption "the key to a championship formula".

Doesn't get any more serious than that!

Paul pierce is one of the most overrated Player of all Time. The scene with the wheelchair was soo pathetic

I'd like someone to say it who can also explain HOW IT'S REMOTELY POSSIBLE. If LeBron is prepared to sign for the MLE then he has his pick of 30 teams, and I just don't see us being THE ONE.

Explanation(dream speculation):

He has plans to make the first ever full length Nike movie with some other greats over the next year.
He views dame as a perennial underdog, much like himself (because of gsw).
We make a couple of moves to ease the cap and bring in a couple of role playing vets without loosing our core. Trading Meyers and/ or turner and picks for quality bench role player or two.
Lbj then signs a two year, 6 mill contract with a player option after one.

During those one or two years we compete with Houston and gsw. If we win, maybe he opts in and wins again.

He also does his Nike movie, continuing to make Hollywood connections and setting himself up for the big screen and moving to la after Portland.

You asked for an explanation. Sorry. That’s the best I got.

Also: stop bringing up Nike. If Nike ever got involved in an NBA team, there would be a major shitstorm.

(And if it did: why imagine that it would have to be the Blazers? Just because the corporate headquarters is here...

Now, if Phil Knight ever LEFT Nike (like Paul Allen left Microsoft) you might have something.)
 
I think we must've misheard Paul Pierce. He said DEAD horse. As in, quit flogging.
 
Windhorst has an article about Lebron and listed one of the first options for him as an opt in/trade. I know we can’t sign and trade for him but is there any reason we couldn’t be an option for an opt in scenario, technically speaking
 
People complain when nobody talks about free agents in connection to Portland ….then when the media has a couple guys do that everybody bashes them ...make up your minds people....it's called lobbying for talent. Lebron can do what he wants and sorry Rasta but if you think Nike doesn't have hooks in the NBA and it's players....whew.....they absolutely have lobbying power. Phil Knight can sway athletes better than Phil Jackson can
