Hey, these guys are coming up with these crazy ass theories, mushrooms, demonic possession, I'm just showing how it very simply could have gone down.

He has money, so his drug of choice is cocaine. But cocaine doesnt make you act that way.

It's obvious to me and I think everyone here that you're ignorant on the subject of demonic mushrooms and tbh it's offensive seeing you label expert mushroom shamans as crazy or theorists.

The police report:

On May 28, 2016, at approximately 3:20 a.m., Dallas officers responded to the 2500 block of Bennett Avenue regarding a shooting. Upon arrival officers found one individual had been shot. The resident of the apartment reported that an individual had kicked open the front door and entered his apartment. The resident, who was asleep in the bedroom, heard the individual enter and retrieved a handgun. He stated he called out to the individual, but was not answered. As the individual kicked the bedroom door, the resident fired his gun. The individual left the apartment and collapsed in the breezeway. The individual was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

In the 'wrong apartment'

Dejean-Jones' agent Scott Nichols told CNN that his client was in Dallas to visit his girlfriend for their daughter's first birthday. Nichols said Dejean-Jones had visited his girlfriend's new apartment for the first time Friday. Later that he came back to the apartment complex but went to the wrong unit on the third floor, just below his girlfriend's fourth-floor apartment, Nichols told the network.

I stand by my explanation of how it happened.

I'm in shock and sad. I'm an Iowa state cyclone through and through. BDJ had alot of baggage and had a troubled Senior season at ISU. Was really happy that he got things put together to make the NBA.

No matter the reason it happened, just sad.

While at Iowa State, he was once arrested for partying too loudly and causing a nuisance, according to ESPN.

Gateway crime that eventually led to his death. If only his parents, or his school, or someone had taught him how to party quietly before it was too late.

Why? Speculation is usually closer to the real thing than media reports. Media is crooked as all hell.

The more teams looking for a shooting guard the more interest, offers and money Crabbe will receive. The number of teams now needing a shooting guard just increased by one.

This may benefit Crabbe, but it hinders the Blazers. Another team will now toss more money at him forcing Portland to spend more in the end.

Nah, much simpler.

Baby mama just moved in.

He was there for baby b-day.

They had a good time, baby cute, mama even friendly, not asking for money, told him to come back later for a little humpty dumpty when baby is asleep.

Leaves.

...

Later that night.

Texts baby mama, "want some?" she texts back, "do me big daddy."

Hurries over.

Goes to apartment.

Rings bell.

No answer.

Rings again.

No answer.

Knocks.

No answer.

Knocks louder.

Finally voice, mans, "GO AWAY!"

Thinks to himself, "Who dat?!?"

Knocks again while yelling, "Who da fuck is in there with you?"

Man yells again, "Fuck Off! Go Away!"

"My baby mama is wit some dude! Bitch be playin' me!" He thinks to himself.

Kicks door open!

Yelling!

Goes to bedroom.

Man yells, "I'm calling the cops!"

Kicks bedroom door open!

BANG! BANG!

Stumbles back... Hands to stomach... blood... pain... Looks around living room... when she get that furniture? Stumbles out of apartment.... falls to ground...

Dead.

So you heard him do interviews and he spoke that way or does everyone who has a baby mama use that particular vernacular?

Awww, shit. Hadn't even thought of how racist that seemed when I read it.

However, if black guys don't want people to assume they talk like that all of the ones who do should stop. It might be the single biggest barrier left for them here.

It is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me and I bet 99 percent of the country.

On a different but related topic, do gay guys talk the way they do naturally or is that something they do on purpose?

I'm not singling out these groups as I've always hated accents from different parts of the country too. "I'm gonna go warsh the car"

Where's there a fucking r in wash?

I thought everyone in Texas talks like that.

Long time lurker that fought the urge to join due to perils of social media finally finds a topic he can't ignore.

Typically I would just let moronic statements slide in a forum post, but I expect better from Blazer fans - call me naive and unrealistic on that count - so here is my rant.

TL;DR : OP got his answer through posted links. Yet other posters felt a need to offer unfounded stereotypical conjecture along with insensitive "jokes?". We should expect better from each other.

Rant below if interested.

Human dead less than 24 hours and the wild speculation begins. Woman; intoxicated; drugs; Darwin Award; shooter is a liar; Crabbe stands to benefit ( then poster attempts to validate his absurd statement with the tired logically invalid retort "doesn't mean it's not true"; rather than admitting his comment was out of line, he doubles down. Thankfully he later creates a narrative suggesting a more realistic, non-intoxicated and wholesome scenario. Admittedly tinged with stereotypical delivery, but at least seemingly trying to atone for his earlier derogatory miscue.

Everyone understands the Internet is full of dbaggery, but it is the responsibility of peers to bring attention to where they think things are going awry. Lest it be assumed I am a SJW nutcase or unreasonably PC, I assure you I am not. What I'm tired of is this rush to fill in the blanks about a situation with preconceived opinions and callous comments that show a disregard for other fellow humans. If this guy was a blazer, Oregon native or friend of those making the comments, would I be correct in assuming he wouldn't be disparaged as strongly?

Concluding, what has gotten in to some of you? OP asks reasonable question which was answered more or less with links, then the dogpile of dog droppings begins. If you think you are being funny, you aren't. We can do better and should do better.

p.s. If anyone wants to make a joke about any situation I am all for it, I have no sacred cows. Just make sure it truly is funny before hitting the send button.

Welcome to the forum. That was a very well thought out post and I look forward to reading more from you.

And your comments about my posts were mostly correct. Guilty as charged.
