Phil Jackson Still Unsure of his Coaching Future

He lists New York as a possible destination saying that they [Knicks] may not be too many trades away from becoming a contender. I'm sure he's speaking of the bait New York will have at the deadline of 2006. I'm sure that such bait would appeal to Isiah and Phil, I just wish that he would stop mentioning the Knicks. I'm sick of the New York media blowing up the Jackson story, when in the meantime, the chances are that he won't coach in New York. Herb has been doing fine for New York lately, this is just discouraging to him and the rest of the coaching staff. Kind of annoying.

the whole phil thing is a distraction to the team and the coaches who are just trying to do their jobs. If he comes great. if not not. But he is best at getting the best out of talented groups, the knicks need to assemble the talent and than need him to tinker with them. They need a coach now who will give them a swift kick with the boot.

I dont know. I believe the Knicks have a good amount of talent I just dont think we're using right and Phil Jackson has been known to get the most out of his players.

Actually I think the chances of him landing in New York are pretty good. He did win two championship rings, as a player, here afterall. It's a big enough stage for him to coach on, he probably wants to get rid of his reputation for only winning with contenders and we can give him alot of cash. I'm not too sure about Herb remaining the coach. Jackson afterall does have good credentials. Besides all this stuff about Jackson shouldnt be discouraging to Herb though, it should be making him work harder. It's good that Herb has some competition to think about.

Buss joined Jackson on his book-signing tour through New York in the fall.

"When he was in New York in October, he wanted to take me places, wanted to show me everything," Buss said. "He's got a love of the city. A friend of a friend sent to me a New York Knicks team picture when he was on the team. It had all the signatures but they needed Phil's. We sat down. Told me all the stories."

Asked if Jackson and Jeanie could be a package deal for the Knicks, she giggled and said, "Well, maybe if he gave me a ring I'd think of something like that. But I don't think our relationship will be like that. I don't think I can leave my family business."</div>

I'm not sure the credibility behind this. I mean isn't she the same one who said Phil Jackson was probably going to coach the Lakers this season? I hope Dr. Phil decides to join us next year. Imagine if he gets the most out of Tim Thomas!!!

Hopefully we wont know because he'll alreay be gone!

Phil Jackson is a legend. How would have done great with this Laker team. I dont think Phil Jackson coming back would have anything to do with Kobe's absence, it was reported that both of them reached a mutual truce and they respect each other.

Well that leaves us to two dumbass superiors. Jerry Buss and Mitch Kupchak.. tsktsk

Naw the knicks dont have enough talent to be contenders in the near future. Lets be honest, we dont have a viable Center option that is needed to compete. TT is talented but NOBODY not even Phil Jackson is gonna get it out of him, he has to get it from within.
