HAPPY VETERANS DAY AND GO BLAZERS!!!

They should have a girl part of the national anthem for old times sake.

Well, hopefully it's our lucky day. (11/11)

I am hoping lillard comes out and puts a 25/10 game up or something. You know he's going to be pissed.

Smith is shooting 29% on threes and leading the Pistons with 7.0 attempts per game! What a ball hogging chucker. For comparison Matthews is shooting 5.0 attempts a game at 53%.

Might get a Meyers Leonard siting tomorrow.

Oops. Sore subject. Let the flame wars begin. ;)

Big game. If we win we'll be 5-2. I'd really like to get away from .500 and 5-2 would be a great start at just that.

To me, that's the best start you could hope for. Giving SA's lone loss feels pretty damn good right now.

Taking both home and home is great, too.

For me saying I thought we'd be 1-4, 1-5, I'm pleasantly happy and satisfied if we go 5-2.

*eats crow*

After losing game one, I thought we'd go 0-4.

I have to admit, I was worried about a slow start. I would have been happy with 3-3.
They still have a long ways to go before I am convinced they can win 45, but there are some positive signs.

Maurice Cheeks is coaching the other team. I don't need to know anything else to know that anything other than a blowout win would be unacceptable.

I think we matchup well. They will make dumb mistakes because they have Smith and Jennings on the floor at the same time. I think Batum, Wes, and Dame could end up with 10 steals combined. As long our shots fall (47-50+%), we win big.

Is anyone doubting that Dame won't go off tonight? His game SAT and last year's matchup vs Jennings when BJ went off should be enough motivation to come out blazing tonight.

If we keep their paint scoring somewhat in check, this should be an easy win. Get this out of the way and focus on the rematch WED vs PHX.

That was the blazer's big problem last year (and for about 20 years IMO). They beat the good teams and lose to the crappy teams. The idea of "should beat" and "easy win" makes me nervous....

Huh, I didn't realize Mo Cheeks was still a head coach in the NBA.

On paper that Pistons roster seems like it'd be better than 2-3. I know Billups is ancient, but that's a big front court and starters who were upper echelon players (or will be soon) at every position.

Saw who I believe to be Drummond shopping yesterday at the Nike employee store. That is a big dude right there. I play a little basketball and used to have some game, but as I walk by him the idea of lacing them up and getting on a court with that guy going 100% . . . . felt a bit intimidating to say the least.

Well that’s normal for most teams; you just see that a lot in the NBA. Its a long season. Heck Miami has lost to Boston and Philly.

According to the NBA’s Twitter page, Lillard became the first player in NBA history to put up 100 points, 25 rebounds, 25 assists, and 20 3-pointers in his team’s first 5 games

Nice! Sadly he also became the only player in NBA history to ever have two games with only one make on 15 or more shots.

Really? Id think there would be more of those games. JR Smith has to havr a game like that.

Well the last time he went 1-16, the next game he shot 55% and scored 22.

I looked at his game logs and he had a ton of shitty games.

2-13, 4-12, 4-18, 6-21, 2-14, 3-14, 4-17, 3-14, 3-11, 1-16, 4-15, 2-10, 3-14. I didn't count the games he shot over 30%.

Mike Tokito @mtokito
#Blazera' LaMarcus Aldridge was nominated for West POW for second week in row.

Lillard will drop 30 tonight, we'll see a LaMonster throwdown, and Batum will have a triple-double.

No promises, but homers can dream.

Aldridge usually brings his "A" game against Monroe. I seriously believe LA reads this board.
