We don't have the "marketable" star at the moment. If Lillard really starts blowing up he will start getting the calls and that should allow LA to become a bigger star and get more calls as well.

Lillard would really blow it up if he got the calls that some players have gotten since they entered the league. Difference is Lillard wasn't expected to be this good, where guys like Durant, Griffin, LeBron, Kobe, etc had a bunch of hype when they came into the league. They've always had it easy with the refs.

Oh and none of those other teams are owned by Paul Allen. I don't think he and Stern get along too well.
