I don't think Detroit wants or needs Dragic. Jennings looked nice tonight. Reminded me a of smaller version of Rondo, in that he can blow anyone on the pick and roll. I never thought much of Jennings in the past, but damn, he's got some very quick moves.

Hmm Dragic would be interesting on Detriot if they didn't have kcp or w/e his name is waiting in the wings. I'd like Dragic on Detriot as another ball handler, since Detriot has been looking to move stuckey for two years now, but if Kcp can take on that role as the year goes by then I really don't see any reason for Detriot to want him. Detriot should just retire Billups and give him a clipboard, he looks as washed up as a player can at the moment.

Dragic is due $7.5/year through the 2015-16 season. I can't think of a reason why Detroit would consider trading for him at this point. They need to pay Monroe next year at a contract that will be at least LMA's level, and just gave Josh Smith huge money.

Batum has really become our go to distributor in crunch time. I'm really liking his new role! Very important!

I don't think Detriot is going to keep Monroe and I thought Dragic was up next year, no way a team that isn't in desperate need of a PG trades for dragic with that kind of money left if it 2 years left after this year.

mags you predicted top 3 in the west, we're currently top 3. I want to hear some trash talking!

Thats why I wasn't worried with him getting so many TO's last year and I said it multiple times. It was his first year really distributing the ball and if thats our plan for him this year then we gotta let him get the turnovers out of his system. He isn't just our distributor in crunch time he runs the offense almost as much as Lillard does.

If Detroit doesn't keep Monroe, they may as well fold the franchise. Monroe is a very good offensive player, and is somewhat unstoppable in the low post.

Wait, wut? Are you saying Detroit should sit Jennings and bring in Dragic as the PG? PHX is in full tank mode, even though they've won a few games to start the season. They'd want high draft picks for Dragic.

Vanilla posted this (which I meant to quote in my post, not the other one)

I don't know what Detroit has against point guards who are actually pass first players, but if they want to keep that caliber of a frontline, they're gonna have to rethink it.

I think Dragic would be more of a pass first point guard than Jennings. It was Vanilla's idea, I was just thinking of a point guard that might be available. :dunno:

Word. Drummond is a beast in his own way but Monroe is on another level offensively.

Monroe reminds me a bit of Cousins. Maybe not quite as good as Cousins, but without the attitude problems.

Still don't think Smith fits with those two. He does if he hits his 3's, but for the money they paid him I would have gone a different route if i was Detroit. But they did pick up a nice asset they can trade.

I remember when Singler and Love played against each other in the state championship. Singler sure turned out to be a lot less talented than Love.

$hit. I was surprised he became a player in this league at all, Love for that matter too (All-Star at least). White Powa.

Singler is a valuable role player type. Great defense and knows his role.

I don't know man...... his defense didn't look great to me.

How much were you actually focusing on his defense in this one game?

Last year as a rookie he puts up 15/10 and 5 against us. He's no chopped liver.

Good win, but stop with the Detroit is a good team crap. They are 2-4 with both wins at home.

They have played a tough schedule though.

They almost beat OKC and gave us a hell of a game. I think they are going to make the playoffs in the east.

If you guys haven't noticed, our team plays teams and beats them at what they are good at. What I mean is they figure what teams are good at defensively and attacks it. I don't know if this is intentional, but if it is, it's a great way to demoralize a team.

Yeah their losses are to us, OKC, Indiana, and in OT to Memphis. They may not be great but they are definitely a playoff team in the East. Hell Right now Boston is the 4th seed........

Overall a lot of parity in the league this year. A few good teams and then everyone else. Even Utah will end up winning 15-20 games (90% of them at home)

Why didn't Robinson play more last night?

Joel Freeman flat out-played him. At no point was I ever saying to myself, "They ought to sit Joel so Robinson can get in there and fumble shots at the rim and blow defensive assignments." Joel just has an air of competence about him that Robinson (and Leonard) could really learn from.

Saw the the blazers are the third most efficient team on offense behind only Miami and the Clippers. Can somebody explain what they mean?

Ortg is points per 100 possessions, which (mostly) takes out the effect of pace. When you take a lot of 3s and make a lot of 3s it really helps your efficiency, which is what the Blazers are doing.

btw, we're up to 2nd now.

It's pretty impressive how efficient we are offensively. I also love how Stotts is using Aldridge everywhere on the court. I realize why he is trying to establish Aldridge on the left block. Batum and Lopez are needing the right block to run their pick and rolls. I think Aldridge should work the right block when Lopez or Batum aren't in the game.
