<{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>here is the problem i am seeing. you guys seem to think that vince wants to be kobes equal. when has he ever said this? even back in 2000 and 2001, kobe was better because kobe was a different player. kobe has that arrogance and that cockiness. vince has never had that and never will so the problem is you guys keep comparing him to kobe.
when vince is plays well and he is the main offense guy, the nets usually win or have a chance to win. the reason for all the hate lately is that vince is the #2 and #3 option. that just cant happen. vince is not gonna complain either, he just wants whats best for the team.
when he goes back to being #1, I have a feeling the hate will go away.</div>
Max he's never said that he wants to be kobe's equal, I'll give you that. However, Vince noticeably plays harder against Kobe and TMac. these are guys that play his position, are a similar age and were once considered the cream of the crop of the SGs in the league. I'm assuming based on the fact that he acknowledges there's a rivalry between him and these guys that he'd want to be better than his rivals. If not then what's the point of the rivalry? There was an interview earlier on nba.com where he goes through his NBA journey in a series of slides and he acknowledges these rivalries.
