Aldridge era Blazers in the playoffs: 12-22 .333
Post-Aldridge era: 5-4 .556
This isn't just about Portland's current playoff luck with injuries. We had Aldridge for 9 seasons--that's a lot of playoff futility for a "franchise" player, for the guy who wanted to be the Best Blazer Ever (until he didn't).
The post-Aldridge era (or as I call it, the Lillard era) is a small sample size, but does anybody really expect Lillard's teams to experience that level of futility over the coming decade?
