So was it memphis's D or our terrible shooting?
we shot like total shit. meyers hesitated way too much. meyers can shoot, someone needs to remind him to put the fucking ball in the hoop. batum actually looked like he showed up but i spent most of game hating life and not paying attention.

Dwight jaynes is more optimistic than 1/2 the people here. In the words of ice cube.....

Memphis has some bad boys. Tbh our group is kinda pussy. Besides Wes, who is our "tough guy"? Afflalo? LA? Meh. We need some dogs.
I wish that Meyers Leonard would go to Bill Laimbeer's house in the offseason. Someone his size should be looking to elbow somebody in the mouth. Ya know.

I want to believe we can come back and win game 2 but it is really hard to get myself pumped up. I know as soon as I turned on the game and saw McCollum starting, i didn't like it. Sure he did a good job starting when Aldridge was out, but it never made sense to have him in there with Lillard and Aldridge. He just can't get in a rhythm, so hopefully they will change that and maybe the team as a whole will realize they need to play with a lot more toughness and tenacity.

I actually like Memphis and always thought they'd be a tough matchup. Can make up excuses all night about why they beat us but they just beat us. Credit the Grizz for protecting homecourt. Now let's get a split before going home

Marc Gasol is their play maker and when he sits Udrih is their play maker. Nice change up.

Wish we would have signed Udrih. I know that will seem reactionary but no, I actually said this at the time as well.

There are many many many playoff series in which a team gets destroyed in Game 1 but wins the series. Keep hope alive!

I remembered game 1 of the WCF against the Lakers and got destroyed. I think Sheed got kicked out that game as well. We were literally 2 minutes away from a title. I believe you because I've seen teams make a great series after being blown out the first game

This is going to be a tough one. I did not see the kind of fire that the playoffs should bring. I know the shots did not fall and if they had made a few shots to start the whole game might have been different. But the way Memphis continued to step on them over and over again was kind of telling.
Lets hope they can turn this around at some point because that was the same team that ended the season very poorly.

I just wonder what has happened to Damian Lillard. Is he just totally burnt out? He did go and tryout for the National team but that should not have had this kind of effect on him. Is this just a slump? Can he work through it? That was tough to watch.
I also am not seeing the type of energy from Robin Lopez. Hope that was just a bad stretch of games also.
Nic did show a bit but nowhere to the extent needed and CJ was completely out played. He is still a second unit guy IMO.

We just need one. Economic thinking is critical here. Forget this turd of a game and lets focus on winning Game Two! Go Blazers!

He mind fucked himself a long time ago.

Damian Lillard's problem is that he thinks he's way better than he is. Less talk more show.

By the way, outside of me and one other guy in a Blazers T shirt, there was no Blazer presence at the game. Usually, there is a big Blazers contingent at every game I go to. When the Blazers made a shot, no one cheered but me. It's not usually like that.

Another problem is if Vince Carter gets hot there's no one on Portland's bench that's going to be able to slow him down. I would have liked to start Gee instead of Crabb. Just my opinion.
Carter is the guy you should root for cause he isn't doing the Grizzlies any good.

Everybody in the West is just playing a higher caliber of basketball than us right now.

What an awesome day to spend on the golf course with friends. No matter how bad the Blazers stunk up the place tonight it still was a great day.

We've dodged some real bullet's over the years on guy we really wanted to sign. Turkuglu, Hibbert, Hawes...
