Yeah if they let Dame into the game he will either torch the nets or pick them apart with his passing. We'll see if they get guys back and/or can make adjustments. @KSF-ERIC said that game 1 doesn't mean anything, I think it does but it does not determine the series by any means.
It doesn’t, but winning it is big.
I’m with Eric on it...
I’m not so sure it means that we win the chip
But Denver is in trouble

Denver shot 8 free throws. Thought the refs only screwed the Blazers!
Just like happens a lot of times that guys are in here crying conspiracy when we don't get many at the stripe, Denver just wasn't very aggressive at all and didn't force the refs to make calls. We'll see what adjustments they make. If the idea is that they can single cover Dame and have Joker single handedly outscore us... it's going to be a very quick and very painful series for the Nuggets.

You don't want to double Jokic. You want him to shoot 25 shots per game and play defense, because that takes more out of him than taking 18 shots and standing still and dishing out 7 assists.

There was a sequence near the end of the game. Nurk got the ball down low and had four Nuggets around him. Jokic was the fourth, coming in from behind. He was walking in. Nurk lost the ball, got it back, scored and was fouled while Jokic stood and watched from 2 feet away.

You make Jokic get up and down the floor, have to exert energy making offensive moves and make him have to exert energy on defense. He's not in the kind of physical condition to be THAT player. He needs possessions that he can take off and just survey the court and make backdoor passes.

You make him shoot. A lot.
THIS

plus when you let him pass they are gonna be gimme shots that even dan dickau could drain

It keeps Aaron gordon locked up also “easiest shots I’ve gotten in my life”

not so fast my friend

I kind of felt at the beginning of the game the team had a slow start because of the time off? Once they got going they played much better.

maybe if they get Barton back, they'd have a little better chance of squeezing Dame. But if this game is an indicator, the last time Dame had this much daylight in the playoffs, he dismantled OKC, literally

Denver has no chance if they can't do more to stop Dame, and he didn't even shoot that well tonight
--------------------------------------------

I watched ESPN because I can't stand Kent/Hurd (although Vince Carter is hard on the ears and IQ as well). Anyway, all game long they were praising Jokic as the top player in the league. He's good, no argument. But at the end of the night, Jokic had 34 points on 27 shots; Dame had 34 on 25 shots. Joker had 16 rebounds; Dame had 13 assists. And Dame's team won by 14 on the road

Malone in post game said they’re gonna address Dame seeking out MPJ switches; gonna send more help

Blazers go into Denver and take Game 1 to go up 1-0 in the series. A big run at the end of the 3rd quarter set the tone for the victory. Come celebrate with the Blazers Uprise Post Game Show:

From ~90 to 272 watching live!!
Love to see it!!!!!
I don’t have enough screens to watch the forum and the live stream at the moment but I see y’all

I don't know if Vince was too terrible, he definitely wan't great but he also seemed to have to answer questions from the PBP guy about who he played against and with throughout the entire broadcast. It may have been just as annoying for him as it was for us.

If this continues, i think we'll see the last games of Powell as a Blazers. Dude is not hitting shots, but also hardly involved
Powell will win the Blazers a game in this series is what I'm thinking. His shots were there and he was playing tough. Just didn't make a few he could have this game.

Michael Porter Jr: 11-11 2FG & 1-10 3FG. Hopefully Porter Jr doesn’t realize Portland can’t guard him inside (or realizes too late).

Exactly.

I'm not sure if he'll have a hot game...probably, maybe...but he is carrying a heavy load on defense guarding Porter. I was a little surprised to see RoCo on Gordon and Powell on Porter...I'd have thought it would have been the other way around

Are you like the most negative poster on the board?
He's really quick to go negative but unlike most of the extremely negative posters on here, he admits when he's wrong... usually just to go knee jerk negative again. He is a lot of fun though, when the team isn't making his negativity correct.

Robin Lopez would be the perfect backup Blazers C for this series

CJ and Powell combined for 31 points on 31 shots. Both need to be a lot better

Labinot used to be close

both seem like decent people tho If not entertaining
I'm a very emotional person during the blazers games, my father is worse when we watch soccer, but in private i'm pretty chill cool guy. let's leave it that way

I'm curious....where are you posting from? don't have to answer if you don't want to

I don't think that's the issue with Porter. I think Porter thinks the 3-point shot is his primary weapon. Even if he's not hitting, even if he has a huge mismatch, he's going to keep going back to that well.

It's like people see CJ and Melo and what they do and thinking they can see what would be such minor adjustments that would make them so much better. But they're people with people frailties and tendencies. I got the feeling Porter thinks of himself more as a shooter than a scorer. Maybe the injury makes him want to avoid contact as much as possible. I just think his identity, to him, is "I'm a 6-10 guy who shoots 3s."
