Nurk played well in the 4th. I thought the Blazers went away from Nurk too early. Got to get back to feeding him, and he needs to stop giving away good passes inside, to pass it outside to a bricker.

I’m probably one of the biggest dame fan boys but yes, his playoff performances haven’t been memorable. I think a huge factor is he is so heavily schemed against because most teams don’t have to worry about anybody else offensively on our side. The clippers did the best job before Paul and griffin got injured. I think tonight he forced a lot of stuff to try and get in rhythm. Still made some big shots but that last shot trying to draw that foul was a very poor decision. I think he should of went floater there. Instead he tried to draw contact. Not smart. I think he will be better Tuesday
 
Another note: Nurk was missing chippies that he should have just dunked. I thought he was over that....... ugh
 
nurk dame and cj combined barely cracked 10 pts in the first half....most of our pts were Chief and ET up until then

This is actually pretty accurate but we also have to realize Dame got us back into that game and he was guarded primarily by a guy who is going to be First Team Defense. Also against Houston he was guarded by Pat Bev and against Memphis by Conley and Tony Allen.

He needs to elevate his game no doubt that’s what greats do but that’s a lot easier to do when the guys you’re passing to aren’t Aminu and Evan Turner. The Pelicans weren’t scared of anybody tonight except Damian Lillard. Hopefully tonight proves to some folks that Nurkic is not the 3 we need in a big 3. He’s a dimasuar. Didn’t belong in this game and as the league continues to evolve he’ll become more of a dinosaur.

That’s not to say he’s a bad player, he’s not, he just can’t matchup with a team like NO. Nor can he against most other playoff teams. Look at what happened to Whiteside today against Philly, played 12 minutes. There was no place for him in the game.
 
We scored more points in the paint than them. We took 15 more three point attempts than them. So basically they beat us by making long two point shots, the exact type of shot our defence tries to force the opposition to take. It worked for them this game, can they keep it up for a whole seven game series?

Unlike a lot people here I am not all convinced that we can win on their court and even less so now that they have stolen game one.
 
Here's what i see happening Ptown felt sorry for New Orleans and gave them an atta- boys. Ptown in 6!
 
I'm not even worried about Dame.

Stotts, yes... I am worried about him.
 
For all of Pat's hops, that is twice at the end of games he has been blocked on a dunk attempt. I've never bought the 44" vertical. He never gets anywhere near as high as Clyde did. Drexler must have had a 50+" vertical if Pat's is 44".
 
Dame: losing puts some pressure on us; our job is to defend homecourt; one game at a time, win next game

I'll have to watch the play again, but I wonder if there was an outlet to a 3..

Regardless, dumb to pass it into a guy streaking to the basket if he's not going to pass it out to get the points we needed since we didn't have any TOs

He was fine. He had 11/11 with 2 blocks.
