Great, another subjective opinion of a blazer-homer with no mention of any objective data or comparisons to other stadiums.
Tell you what i'll do for you.
Tomorrow when i am at the game i will take a decibel reading. I have an app on my phone that lets me check noise levels because we use this quite often at work. I can get you an average over a period of time with both high points and lows. Sustained noise levels and peak and valley averages.
Then you can do some research and find out if you are correct? How does that sound?

OK dude, it was your presumption that you think it was not loud there with people here are telling you it was. And now you’re trying to twist it around that everybody is all over you. I’m sorry, I’m going to believe the ones who were there versus someone who watched it on TV. Not sure how that is such an issue for you.

Do you not give more credit to those who witnessed things first hand versus those comments on it off of some TV?

Can you show me where I ever once said “it wasn’t loud, you’re wrong.” I don’t think so.

Do you not give more credit to those who witnessed things first hand versus those comments on it off of some TV?

Yeah, of course, but only to an extent. I still think it’s weird that many other users were saying the same thing as me. I figure Either the network was squelching the sound for only the blazers or people on this forum got it wrong (it’s not exactly easy to estimate decibel levels in a stadium and determine if it’s louder than other stadiums). I still think either is possible, but I do take into consideration the subjective opinions of many users here swearing it was loud. Not sure why y’all care so much about what I think but hey - I’m flattered.

Why is it a big issue to me? Because I believe the crowd has a huge influence on the game, I think the blazer fans haven’t lived up to their past levels of enthusiasm, and I suspected that happened in this game.

Where is your data supporting your argument?

You have none?
Then kindly cease.

You saying it sounded quiet on tv doesn't prove shit either.

Fuck.... lol.

I never said my observation that it sounded quiet on tv proved anything (I said the opposite, numerous times), I’ve just been explaining the obvious to you - because you seem to have a very hard time grasping that your subjective opinion of what happened at the game isn’t conclusive as to what actually happened.

Hmm...its amazing that you can state with absolute certainty how people you don't know would respond to hypothetical situations.

These are the kinds of statements that can cause a person to be perceived as arrogant and difficult to converse with.

1) I’ve been around long enough to understand how this works. I’ve seen moderators openly laugh at flaunting the rules, this isn’t a big mystery. You guys are friends irl, the idea that you’re going to treat me (someone you immediately identified as a fraud and/or troll) as an equal is laughable.

2) These aren’t hypothetical situations. You’ve already tolerated all sorts of behavior from other users that you don’t tolerate from me.

Do you see how putting words in someone’s mouth, and essentially calling them “arrogant” could make you difficult to converse with?

That’s what I’m talking about!

Thing is, your post is full of incorrect assumptions.

I've met prop once--8 days ago. We're not bosom buddies.
I've edited/deleted multiple posts in this thread--and not yours.
I don't play favorites when it comes to what posts I am or am not willing to edit.
If there's something you think I/we've overlooked, bring it to our attention. If you want further clarification on a decision we've made, ask, either openly in a thread or in a PM.
I didn't call you arrogant--I indicated that posts of a certain style are likely to be perceived as such.

There's no need to be adversarial in your responses. I think I've treated you quite fairly in your tenure here, but if you disagree and would like to bring examples to the contrary to my attention, I'm always willing to take a look.

Why are people so determined to argue one person's belief that the stadium wasn't that loud? All of this supposed derailment of the thread could have been avoided if those who disagreed with him said so and moved on, rather than going on a crusade to convince him of something that mere words aren't ever going to settle. If you believe he is a troll (I'm not saying he is, but if that's what YOU believe) getting into an argument with him is playing into his hands. And if you don't believe he's a troll, why so much determination to win such a pointless argument? The stadium won't be louder or softer based on the outcome of an argument here.

This obsessive need to do battle (angrily or dismissively) over every little thing is what derails threads. Save your strength for what really matters--the Melo thread. It's coming back this off-season.

We can start with everyone in this forum accusing me of being a once-banned poster on an alt - and all mods not only utterly failing to stop it - but responding by engaging in the conduct as well. You guys aren’t capable of verifying which users are authentic - and not only do you tolerate the suspicion that this causes toward new users, you actively engage in the harassment of the new users.

I never said you personally were unfair, I said the moderators as a whole are. However I do think you’re being passive aggressive now.

Please. You quoted me and then said “comments like this can be perceived as arrogant.” The tone of your comment was snarky and ridiculing. But I’m expected to be ok with obvious shenanigans because you went through the effort of couching an insult in a less direct way.

If you actually cared about avoiding rudeness, hostility, etc.; you likely would have the forethought to know that “your comments sound arrogant” are fighting words.

I’m not trying to be “adversarial” in my responses. I’m simply telling it like it is - nothing more, nothing less.

Fuck that. I was there, it was fucking loud. The crowd did their part. There has definitely been times over the last couple years where I don't think the crowd has been very good. Game 1 was not one of those games. For him to imply that the crowd is to blame for the Thunder coming back is a fucking insult to those of us that were there. I don't give a fuck if I'm feeding the troll, he's wrong on this one.

The way you respond to other people from your first day on this forum was adversarial.
You say it's 'telling it like it is'.
But there is a way to approach a conversation without trying to go @ other posters.

There is a rule on the internet.
If you're always involved in drama with multiple people. It's not them, it's you.

tl;dr
If you go @ other posters like you have from the first time you joined this site.
If you then play the victim for getting responses just like yours.
You then can't play the victim, and expect empathy.

Have fun having so few people to talk to.

Gee, what a convenient rule for the mob of users on a witch hunt falsely accusing me of being a once-banned alt.

Damn you're still carrying on this gimmick Nurkalicious? Amazing.

Funny thing is. my first post to you gave you the benefit of the doubt.
Even after reading your silly posts.

It's actually not just for you.
It's also for certain posters who you've yet to meet because those posters are trying to check themselves.
Or they're trying to win swag from @PtldPlatypus

Me: “I’m not a fake user. witch hunt...”

Sleepwalker: “You are really fucking annoying.”

EGame: “You’re playing gimmicks.”

H.C.: “You’re silly.”

Sleepwalker: “See there’s no witch-hunt. You’re obnoxious as fuck.”

What a friendly forum.

I mean I think its pretty clear why Im no fan of you with one of your very first posts attacking me. But instead of picking fights constantly and trying not to make the mods jobs a living hell, I mostly choose to ignore you.

Would you like me to call your posts what they were?
Calling your posts silly. If you don't like it, let me introduce you to @Denny Crane
These are the rules of the forum. You agreed to them when you made your account.
You're the one getting offended.
Me I'm sitting here going wtf, why is this guy starting drama in every game thread?
Go fap before you post, shit.

Do you go into a McDonalds and start yelling @ the employees working minimum wage for not selling Pizza?

Could it be that you feel personally invested in the crowd conversation, so you’re perception of the crowd has become biased?

Could it be that the adrenaline you had from watching a close game of your favorite team made you over-estimate the volume?

Could it be that you’re just arguing with me for the hell of it?

I figured it out.
Anything @Nurkalicious says is gospel and how dare anyone disagree with him.
Thank you for gracing us mere peasants mr almighty.
Please tell us everything you know about basketball.
This forum is now on notice to sit in awe of your knowledge.

You're clearly superior to anyone who's ever been a part of this forum.

You’re getting two issues mixed up and conflated together.

Issue 1: what the rules are in this forum

Issue 2: what civil behavior is

Satisfying the former doesn’t necessarily satisfy the latter. When you call someone’s posts “silly” you might not be breaking the rules of this sub, but you are being uncivil, and hence, “causing drama” (which is, ironically, what you’re accusing me of doing).

Amazing.
Thank you for your perfect opinion.
I'm so glad you're part of this forum to set me straight.

Now the non-sarcastic version.
Oh did you know green font means people are being sarcastic on this forum?

You're calling others the problem, when you are also not being 'civil'.
But go ahead and play the victim.

Perhaps because it is such an easy fix. Some seem to like drama.

It can be fun in small doses. but after about 5 minutes it gets boring and tiring to me anyway.

What was my “attack” on you?
