Who has been the most disappointing team in the 2015 Playoffs thus far?

The grizzlies are swarming around on defense and the Blazers are lolly-gagging. So why do we want to keep this crew together?

kinda hard to say exactly whats wrong when its a mix of so many different things.
main thing tonight was them hittin 50% on 3's and our 13 turnovers vs their 5 adding to their 12 more shot attempts.

we looked panicked as soon as we got behind.

oh, and the SG position was shiiiiiiiiiiit for us tonight

It seems like we often get knocked out by the future NBA champion. The Grizzlies have surely looked like the best team in the NBA these playoffs. If we can find a way past them then I think the sky is the limit, and I mean that with 100% sincerity. The winner of this series will represent the west in the Finals.

The Griz lost 2 out a three to the Warriors this year. The Warrior aren't going to roll over.

Maybe because if you are able to play with Wes, Afflalo, Kaman, and Wright the team is a touch better than what's currently on the floor?

Logic befalls a few people around here. lol.

I'm not going to be that person who claims we would be doing X if X weren't happening. That being said, it seems like everything going wrong has to do with us missing wes. The poor perimeter defense, the floor spacing, reliable scoring, hustle, etc...

And X will be the reason why Neil won't feel a need for big time changes. No coaching changes. No significant player changes. No nothing. We then will be back here WITH reason X next year discussing the same issues we were discussing this year. Why do I say this? Go back and ask yourself what stopped from us from advancing against the Spurs last year. Same problems that existed in that series exists in this series.

IMO, it's either poor coaching or the team just isn't THAT good.

I don't necessarily think we need to have a lead, but I want to see us take better shots. You could also tell early on in Game 1 that we were a step slow and that Memphis was definitely more locked in, so I'll be looking for us to out-work them early on to see if we're dialed in.

+>Deja Vu Game 2 ........Damn

+> I vote poor coaching. We can't succeed in the playoffs because the coach can't anticipate personnel matchups and how some players execute in this series. For example Dame is 2 for 20 outside the paint and Grizz players want the ball in their hands. We all hope game three can be a Blazer team representing rip city.

I would root for them if they beat us in the first round.

That’s 6 out of the last 7, all losses by >= 14 pts. And let’s be real, it took Out-of-this-World bonkers performances just to get by the close games in the Houston series in 2014 to begin with.

Something isn’t exactly working here. You can point the finger at the loss of Wes, but even with good health we were struggling with full-health, full-roster good teams in the NBA. Thing is, I’m not exactly sure what it is. I just hope we avoid a sweep, as a sweep will send off panic alarms and could lose us our franchise player this offseason.

Memphis really beat us because they shot the 3 ball well. They aren't efficent at that shot, yet they are draining them.

The beauty of a 7 game series is that things like this usually even out. Memphis will not shoot this well from three the entire series. When that stops falling then we got a series

funny, a "ref you suck" chant 6 minutes into the game. On a call that wasn't worth bitching about.
Yeah, the one thing I learned from this game is I don't respect Memphis fans. I haven't seen fans boo so many correct calls since Houston.

There was a solid three minute stretch late in the third quarter where the refs just stood and watched the Grizzlies mug and rape us. Meanwhile, were were getting called for ticky tack on the other end. At one point, Aldridge looked like he was a millisecond away from throwing the ball at a ref. Not gonna lie, the Blazers lost this game on their own, but the refs made it worse and the Grizzlies fans can eat shit with their ignorant booing.

We lost on points off turnovers and second chance points.

Missing Wes, Arron, Chris and Dorrel, it took all my fandom to believe we could win. Now I hope we can win at least one game this series.

Screw it, CJ isn't ready for this.
CJ may not be ready for this, but this is what it will take to get him ready.

With half our top 8 players out, winning may have been too much to hope for, so getting CJ and Crabbe some seasoning in this game is the best outcome we are going to get.

We are expected to lose on the road. Now let's get one at home.

I just don't see how to spin this in a positive way. Lillard is choking and it's costing us the season. That's just the way it is. The guy is done.
Man, if you of all people can't spin this, all hope is lost! :)

The best part was when Udrih immediately raised his hand after grabbing a driving Batum, and the Memphis fans STILL booed. He grabbed him ON PURPOSE you ignorant hicks!
