@Jade Falcon and I were talking about Stotts during the game. He's not a fan and I think Stotts is pretty good. I can't think of one player who has done better after they left the Blazers and Stotts. He does good putting players in positions to take advantage of their strengths.

I thought for sure that Pops would take LMA's game to a different level but he is the same player for SA that he was for us. Pops, IMO, is the best coach in the league. Rolo, Wes, no one has suddenly gotten better after leaving the Blazers. Some could argue Batum but IMO he's just benefitted from being the 2nd option instead of the 3rd that he was here.
Actually Lamarcus was better for us than he is under Pop's system...he's lost a lot of his impact and this season didn't make an allstar team either...only thing I think he's improved under Pop's is blocking shots..that's it. 3rd qtr last playoff game against Memphis he had 2 pts 2 boards and 1 turnover...that's with major minutes.

Maybe not better offensively, but is there a way to see if their defense improved before and after Stotts

Damn, I thought we were going to engage in an intellectual back-and-forth, since you seem knowledgeable about offensive tactics. I'm legitimately disappointed.
You and others seem to know, so no reason to keep going back and forth. I have been taught what works, and what doesnt. I laid it out for people, and still people say something else. Great, no reason to keep beating my head against a wall, if someone keeps arguing their point.

There's no hope against them. Mike Brown is too smart for us. Keep dribbling. There, now we all think the same. Changing things up would not have done a thing

1.) Why do you think a discussion of how we're being guarded is an "argument" that would involve you "beating your head against a wall" if you participated?
2.) I'm not arguing with you. I'm saying it's a decent idea but breaks down into screen action and trapping if it doesn't work. That's the problem with our personnel. We'd have to do something else after the initial high post entry and backcut. We run a lot of Horns sets, but not enough flair-screen and slips. Our guards are too focused on going and getting the ball from big men instead of setting screens for each other.
3.) I'm not saying keep dribbling? We should've tried other offensive tactics but Stotts is more limited when it comes to that than people realize.
