Will be interesting to see how the Blazers respond to no Paul. For awhile they didn't really extend the lead much when Paul went down, and that was with JJ and Crawford missing a lot of shots. Portland has been shooting so poorly this series, of the Clips supporting cast gets hot, it'll be enough for them to win game 5.

The Warriors must have breathed a huge sigh of relief.

I think the loss of CP hurts them at least as much on defense. He was shutting down lillard, and I now expect Dame to get rolling.

But the officiating is so fucked up. They call phantom fouls on Portland, and they didn't call a foul on Dame's 3 when he was obviously undercut. Then they call a flagrant on Ed Davis for allowing gravity to take it's course.

That was clearly a "Clippers, you guys suck right now, here's a gift... Don't say we never did anything for you."

And then the Clippers yelled at them the next play.

Chris Paul tried to cheat with a guy's shorts and got his hand caught in the cookie jar. Aw, ain't dat too bad.

He's only Number 2 at fakery to Harden, so this will give him a couple of weeks to practice his fakery. In the off-season, his coach can bone up on his own complaint skills. They should spend all summer at their practice facility and perfect these crucial fakery skills on fake referees.
or just learn to tip well

Sadly Austin has also been doing a great job on Dame. Yeah, he's getting away with hand-checking on half the plays, but the other half he's playing good D and mostly shutting Dame down. It actually kinda disgusts me.

Well great win and we go down there we still have to play with the same way. Just because Paul out they lose leadership but they still have enough scorers to give us trouble.

Except that dagger 3,ya know.

Not how many you get sometimes, but when you get them.

I'll say it all day... Our best player having his worst game of the series and we WIN... I'll take it. Dame will be fine.

We're about to see some serious Lillard time folks...buckle up!

Give credit where credit is due.
With the Clippers at full strength in game 3, and through the first half of game 4..
Neither of those games looked in doubt.
Certainly looked like they were going to win both games regardless of the clippers scheme, complaining, and refs.

I do however feel horrible for CP3. He can't stay healthy for the playoffs or during... Neither can his team. Even with the Hornets/Pelicans.
And however you feel about his extra stuff... He's still really damn good.

Seriously. What was Davis supposed to do, land on his head?

How Gerald didn't get to the foul line on that drive is beyond me.

Though the flagrant on Ed was still worse.

Knowing what a flopper crybaby Paul is I expect he's not really hurt but not man enough to take the loss standing up. He'll start the next game with a splint.

If he's truly hurt, good. He has intentionally tripped Dame several times. Karma for a very dirty player.

This team plays much more confident at home. I guess that's to be expected, but I hope they realize they can replicate that intensity and success on the road as well.

If you watch that Chief highlight above you can see that once the ball starts moving the Clippers are willing to stand around and hope that there is an available rebound. I don't think that is going to change on the road.

People that don't think hack a Jordan can work.....Blazers hacked him in the second quarter and he went air Jordan. On the ensuing timeout doc had to take out Jordan who was beasting on defense.

Jay Allen said game 1 of round 2 would start on Sunday if both series finish in 6 games.

If there is a game 7 Sunday then the next round would start on Tuesday.

I think a big part is the Clippers were rested for game 1 and have been significantly more hobbled and fatigued every game. We've played better every game. Hopefully the trend continues with a blowout win for us in game 5!

Good point.

Even when we were turning it over on fast breaks I couldn't help but thinking that it was good to be out running the Clippers. I think we will win every game in which we out run them. After all there's a pretty good team which once won 73 games in a season by out running their opponents.

But we have no chance, right?

Luis Montero has been a playoff superstar.

He's scoring 43.2 points per 36 minutes
0.0 Turnovers per game
over 14 made 3's per 36 minutes

He has a PER of 52.6
True Shooting percentage of 150%
An offensive rating of 300

If he wants to stay on the floor he needs to work on the fouls; he's averaging 7.2 per game.

Way to go Luis!

That's outstanding!

Agree. It's worrying, considering..... Austin fucking Rivers is a scrub.

Dame is going to explode for big games the rest of the series.

I hope so, we really need him to actually do something next game. LUCK (no way Redick and Crawfull miss that much again) and a some great step-ups from our role players saved our fucking bacon last night.

Rivers has done a decent job on CJ too. Perhaps he's a scrub who's also a pretty good perimeter defender.

Maybe. But that doesn't bode well for us if our all-star can't score on him.

Another thing that worries me is that Dame can't seem to shake the big that comes up in the double, like the big's sidestep is faster than Dame's angle to the hoop. I was seeing this over and over last night wondering if he's doing that on purpose or just slowed down/tired?

By big do you mean DeAndre? He might be the best rim protector in the game. Yeah he's going to catch up to Dame on drives and erase them.

This has probably been the most traps Dame has ever faced; he's making a lot of improvements as the series has gone on. I'd like to see him continue to move the ball to the open man and avoid difficult shots. He still forces a few more shots than he should. But overall he's made big improvements. I'm not worried about DeAndre and CP3rdMeta making those great defensive plays because their two of the best defensive players in the league.

Great game from Aminu - all hail the Chief!

Nice game from Plumlee - guy is relentless.

Nice to see AC stick some shots.

Dame needs to pull his head out of his ass.

Henderson needs to fall out of love with the 18-footer.

The tide has shifted - time to KO a staggering Clipps team.

But mostly, 2-2 - hell yeah. Good times - just look at Slypokerdog go:
