By big do you mean DeAndre? He might be the best rim protector in the game. Yeah he's going to catch up to Dame on drives and erase them.

This has probably been the most traps Dame has ever faced; he's making a lot of improvements as the series has gone on. I'd like to see him continue to move the ball to the open man and avoid difficult shots. He still forces a few more shots than he should. But overall he's made big improvements. I'm not worried about DeAndre and CP3rdMeta making those great defensive plays because their two of the best defensive players in the league.

DJ sure, but also Aldrich, and Green ( I think it was him..). You have to be able to shake a big out that far. If you can't then we're doing something wrong.

Which brings me to another thing I think Dame can improve on; telegraphing his drives, and not using the rim to protect his shot.

During commercials, I flipped over to a movie channel showing Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which of course I've seen many times before.

Then flip back and see Aminu, Plumlee, Harkless, Crabbe. And find myself asking, like Butch and Sundance

WHO ARE THESE GUYS????

Maybe. But that doesn't bode well for us if our all-star can't score on him.

Another thing that worries me is that Dame can't seem to shake the big that comes up in the double, like the big's sidestep is faster than Dame's angle to the hoop. I was seeing this over and over last night wondering if he's doing that on purpose or just slowed down/tired?
What i noticed was he is trying to split the defenders with a pass inside to Plumlee or Davis the minute Jordan comes out to help. He isn't even really trying to get past him. He has pretty much gone with distributing as a better way to score.

And Chris Kaman should not see PT again. Wow he was awful on both ends.
Yes he had a bad outing last night but the other two times he was hitting shots. So i disagree here. Put him in and see what happens. If he does well then that is what you have. If not he can get off the court.

Seriously. What was Davis supposed to do, land on his head?
I think that if he hadn't put his hands out, he would have belly flopped on his head and might have actually flipped over him and landed on his own head...like a reverse Jerome Kersey..

The ironic thing is, I had this gut feeling the refs were going to screw us on this play. It seems like they screw us almost every chance they get and I am surprised when they do not. But actually, the refs called it a common foul and the league office called it a flagrant right?

The floor officials initially called it a common foul. After reviewing the tape, they (the floor officials) upgraded it to a flagrant. It was the correct call. The refs were not trying to screw us. Davis didn't have any options during the play - as it just happened. But regardless, it was a flagrant foul. The officials made the correct call.

People that don't think hack a Jordan can work.....Blazers hacked him in the second quarter and he went air Jordan. On the ensuing timeout doc had to take out Jordan who was beasting on defense.

Don't forget the stat that hack-a-xxx is more effective when protecting a lead than when trying to catch up.

And yet they didn't call the foul by Paul on CJ a flagrant....

Maybe Ed should have laid there for 10 minutes crying.

How the hell was it a flagrant foul? He jumped up to block River's shot and River's stopped

From the geasture the ref made to Davis when he asked him about the flagrant, they called it because he brought his arms down. But that is stupid, because bringing the arms down had no bearing on the hard contact, it was his body weight landing on Rivers.

I think if Davis had not not put his arms out to catch himself, he would have flipped over Rivers.

That was close, but again I thought the refs made the correct call there too.

Bringing his arms down was not a malicious thought that popped into Davis's head to purposely hurt Rivers, it was a natural reflex to protect himself

Can they do that?

I got Sling TV for the playoffs. I can't watch it if it's on NBA TV.
Now that i look at the entire schedule it seems unlikely as the Warriors and Rockets will be playing at the same time. KGW and NBATV seem to be it?

The NBA expected the series to be over, so they didn't assign the game on a more coveted slot (tnt/espn)

No; once the Warriors lost a game to force a game 5 on the same day as us they got the TNT night slot on Wednesday.

Edit; forgot that Friday game would be in Houston if necessary so hopefully that would be the early game and us the TNT late game. Go Rockets?

Yeah; but without CP3/Griffin the Clips offense is bad enough the hacka is less of a benefit. It's certainly a strategy we could pull out if need be. I'd prefer we just get a 20 point lead and don't worry about it ;)

Flagrant "1" (FFP1) - unnecessary contact committed by a player against an opponent. The opposing team is awarded two (2) free throws and possession.

When a player is up in the air, his forward momentum is carrying him into the guy underneath him, contact in inevitable. Apparently the refs felt that Ed putting his arms down was "unnecessary", but that's a stupid judgment on their part since it was pretty clear he was just trying to brace himself, which may well have prevented an injury to himself or Rivers. Dumb and bad call.

Rofl 18:30 the clips announcers try to reverse their earlier haggle no haggle fail.

Heh... got some good karma around the 49:45 mark... Plumlee totally double dribbled before dame dunked it. lol.

At about 1:13:40ish seconds, Dame is on the floor fighting for a ball.

And some try to say he's not a leader.

Watch from the Ed Davis Flagrant on... There's a guy behind Lawler (and a little to the left) that gives it to the ref... and then gives it to doc.

It's glorious. This guy is doing the lords work, and giving us a voice from the forum!
