Got down here around 6...... Vibe on the plane was no different than after our game 2 loss..... Serious all business! View attachment 8821
Could work. But I feel like that could also backfire and DJ could actually have an impact because he would be able to clean the glass on both ends. Without CP3 the only points DJ could score may come off of put backs or free throws.
I don't expect a lineup change, that would be contrary to what everybody is saying - in that they don't plan to change how they play.
I'm not saying we should change the starters, I'm saying instead of giving Kaman 10 minutes a game, we should roll with this lineup instead.Aminu hasn't played center all season; well except when he defended Towns and gave up the game winning bucket. No we should stick with the same starting lineup. Nothing wrong with our rotation.
So for us out-of-staters who can't get KGW and don't have NBATV, are there any other avenues to watch this game? I have Sling TV to stream all the TNT and ESPN games, but NBATV is the chink in my armor.
I loved the single game purchase option from League Pass this year, bu they don't let you watch anything on national TV, right? Which is every playoff game.
At the very worst I'll be listening to Wheels.
With so much firepower out, the Clippers might go big because that is Portland's weakest line. Not sure how it would work since they haven't done that much but if they ran out Jordan/Aldrich for a stretch, that might cause Portland some problems.

Release the Vonleh!
I honestly thought that we should have brought Vonleh out early in game 1 when Blake was beasting. It's been said over and over that Vonleh was our best and strongest low post defender all season. Seems like that would have been the perfect spot to use him.How much fun would it be to see Vonleh get minutes and break out in this game. He may get minutes if we need fouls or just big legs to keep the twin behemoth's out of the lane.
I would play Vonleh over Kaman, I know that.

AgreedEven if we drop this game, can the Clips really beat us twice without Paul and Griffin? I hope not, that would be embarassing.

Rewatched the 4th quarter of game 4. I think we're going to see a lot of the lineup of Rivers-Redick-Crawford-Green-Jordan outside of the first few minutes. I wonder if they try to just spread us out and jack 3s/let Crawford attack the paint repeatedly. I think we're going to see that play with Crawford taking a ball screen then popping a shot from the elbow about 50 times tonight. Just have to contest them as close as the refs let us (because I have a strong feeling they'll protect them pretty hard tonight) and crash the boards hard. They might try to force feed Jordan, but he's got no game outside of dunking, so I don't know what they would do to get him more involved outside of what they were already doing.
We should be able to really attack the rim on offense if they continue to trap and extend their defense. When Plumlee catches the ball at the top of the key with Jordan on him, they have no one capable of protecting the rim on the floor anymore. Griffin was about all they had and he's really not that great at it, but he at least has size and athletic ability. Aminu and Harkless cutting off the baseline should be easy money, which should open up our shooters eventually. We should be able to kill them on the offensive boards if we put in the effort.
Most importantly, don't sleep on 'em!
My random player to watch out for is Wesley Johnson. I don't know why, he just seems like the type of random player who's mediocre at best who would have a career night against us off the bench out of nowhere now that there might be more minutes for him. Or Paul Pierce of course.
I'd bring him in to foul Jordan.Yeah I wouldn't play Kaman. Could bring Vonleh in if we need a defensive big.
Mostly we just stick with our top8 guys. If we need second unit offense or the Clippers trap I'd give Roberts backup minutes when Dame or CJ rest.
Need to come out strong tonight. Need the same start as game 3/4.
If they do that I'll like our chances to go back to Portland up 3-2.
If not chuckers might carry the game for the Clips tonight.
If he can cause a fight in 5 min of play, give that man a bonus!Kaman's job is to send Jordan to the line and piss off Clipper players...if he makes a couple jumpers, great but he's 5 fouls to give and he knows how to foul a guy
