Can someone explain to me the kind of person who has their phone out recording themselves watching a game?

Does anyone here do this? Are we too old? Is this a young person thing to always need to be chronicling their lives?
I think I'm too old. I have never thought man I should record myself watch basketball...

I’m so caught up in the moment of watching the game that I would never think to stop and film myself.

I'm annoyed that I can't seem to find again a video that shows the bench reaction to Lillard shot, but I'm pretty sure you see a man in the shot filming with his phone up and watching the screen. The guy was at the game but he didn't see the shot live, he saw it through his phone... pretty sad.

It's amazing how many people do this at concerts. I just don't get it.

First, the quality is usually shit. Second, you'll probably never watch that video ever again..... and lastly, none of your friends or family give a shit that you're at a concert.

I mean, I like that I can watch the videos of fan reactions who were at the game, but I personally would never have my phone out.

Yeah that's really one thing I don't get at all. You gotta live the moment

This struck me too. I was on the edge of my bed clutching my laptop while watching the last few minutes of that game. Never would I have thought of breaking out my phone to film my reaction. I think some of them are fake-- as in reactions to a DVR'd video.

I think most of them just turned it on to record that moment.

I think if you record yourself that is pretty stupid. I do like the ones where someone secretly records reactions of people they are with or at a place like a bar where there are a lot of people. My wife joked about wishing she recorded my reaction to "0.9". She was in bed already when this happened though and my reaction wouldn't have been as sincere if I knew someone was recording.

Earlier in the Game of Thrones series there are some pretty messed up moments and there are a lot of people who read the books that knew something was coming and secretly recorded the reactions of people who hadn't read the books and had no idea what was coming.

Concerts are a different thing. I film bands all the time. We promote them on our website and use them in propaganda commercials.

Teammates are supposed to be like siblings.

So if your brother fucks your fiancee he's doing you a favor?

:smiley-hmm:

Well brother is blood but if my teammate was like “ay bro your girl is a slut man i hit that and she was a willing participant” I’d be like wow ok thanks for letting me know
