Realistically, how many games do you see the Blazers winning in this series?

Warriors fans are awful. They have watched their team bitch and moan about every single call, so their fans bitch and moan about every single call. It's pathetic.

I thought the Clippers were bad, but Draymond is actually aggressive with his complaining. The guy should have so many technical fouls. He gets in their face and screams at them.

How Green doesn't ever get ejected is beyond me.

Green has been anointed by the NBA as a golden boy. Put him on a crappy team and he's Thaddeus Young. Mad overrated.

That we lost is not even what has me down...I am tired of the disrespect the league and the officials have levied towards us...I am tired of the Blazers being seen as the butt of a joke for the NBA...we worked our asses off to be here....SO GIVE US SOME GOD DAMNED RESPECT...show highlights about us too, especially when we are leading most of the game...talk about the things we have done...no more "I want to eat Klay Thompson's shit just to see where it comes from" No more bullshit...we are in the top four teams in the Western conference left in the playoffs...This team is baked from nearly scratch...it has more talent then Charles Barkley's left pinky finger...we are the Portland Trail Blazers and don't you fucking forget it

FUCK YES!

I could write a lot about this game, the playoff run and the future in general, but I'll just keep it to a couple of main points.

1) I saw a couple of posts talking about running Dame off multiple screens. It's hard to do that effectively with the personnel the Blazers have, IMO. They just don't have big bodies who really are effective screeners. We essentially play without a 5 man.

2) The thing that really sets the other teams in the playoffs, or at least the final four in the West (and I want to throw the Clippers into this, too) is the defense. Don't get me wrong, the Clippers grab and hold away from the ball constantly and couple probably be called for multiple fouls on each possession. The Blazers just can't do the things I saw the Clippers do and that I see the Spurs, Thunder and Warriors doing in terms of defensive intensity. Part of that also goes to being undersized at every position. But it's hard to win when you have to work as hard as the Blazers do for a shot and then give up what seem like so many quality looks at the other end. It's going to be quite a challenge for Olshey to address this, because we're not trading Lillard, and CJ might be as inventive a scorer as I've seen in a long while, so I don't know how you can unload a weapon like that, even for someone like Cousins ... we need to be physically tougher, though, and getting guys that fit our needs in building around Dame and CJ because of their size and that both are shot-first guys will present a challenge. It's like the last few years Batum really was more a facilitator than Dame. Now it's Plumlee. Can we get bigger, yet still find a guy to play the 3, 4 or 5 that distributes the ball like that?

3) Stotts is a good coach, but I don't see his ability to adjust as a strength of his. We played 10 games against the Clippers and attacked their blitz on the high screen and role the same way all 10 games. Even though the Clippers really had to gamble and get way out of position to play it like they did, we only attacked it one way: Dribble back, find the center way outside up top, hope we could get him the ball and then dribble in 2-on-1 or 3-on-2. I didn't see any real adjustment there, and I don't have any strong reason to be optimistic that Stotts can take the Blazers to the next level defensively. That we did what we did this year with such glaring issues is a minor miracle.

It was like groundhog's day watching this offense try to figure out the high traps the Clippers threw at Dame. We had the 2 best defenders from the Clipps (Cp3 & Jordan) over-commit and they never paid for it. Ever.

No post presence = pick him up as high as you want.

The management have proven themselves intelligent. I have no doubt the will address these problems in the off-season.

We folded as soon as dame went out.
Bad move by Terry, he was hot and he cooled him

Agreed. As soon as he went out, the offense was toast.

Half our fourth quarter possessions ended with the ball in Plumlee's hands. Total failure.

Watching Plumlee driving at draymond a few possessions hurt my eyes.

Frankly if Plumlee could've made a layup tonight we'd have won this game by a dozen pts

Wife and I were screaming WTF. Like how can you go up so fucking soft against Green? It makes no damn sense, the guy was like half-assing it tonight. Ugh..

I put a lot of this collapse on Stotts. Some serious bad moves/adjustments out there.

So you're saying Dame should have played the whole 2nd half ? Give the man a damn break.

Not sure if you're replying to me specifically or what, but....

At that point in time he didn't want out, you could see him disagreeing with Stotts. It's the playoffs. You sacrifice for the playoffs. I've seen many other stars play almost entire games.

Just as the nightmare, I mean game, was ending, I realized I'd made a mistake, probably during Game 1, and knitted a single cable rather than double cable. I had to unravel 2 days worth of work.

This morning I realized I'd manage to lose my right contact lens, not sure how, perhaps in fatigue and distress washed it down the sink last night. Got an old lens from earthquake emergency kit but my prescription has changed and I can barely see.

I have been feeding two untamable feral cats for almost 11 years. The male has a severe leg injury; he is hopping on 3 legs in terrible pain. I have never been able to get closer than 3 feet to these cats (the mobile vet trapped and neutered them). I have tried to trap him unsuccessfully for treatment or failing that euthanasia so he stopped coming inside at all. Feral cats don't live this long without street smarts; he knows about traps! He is staying in the crawl space under the house and I carry his food to him to spare the pain of walking. Today a woman from feral rescue is coming in a last ditch effort to trap him using drop trap that requires two people; if this fails, he will have to live however many more years in terrible pain. He needs to be hungry so I have not fed him for 2 days. He was hungry enough to come inside this morning. I gave him a very small amount of food and ran to close the door between kitchen and laundry room (where cat door is); it is infinitely easier to trap a cat inside than outside. The previous tenant left so much damage in 18 years I have not fixed all of it. One thing I never thought to fix is the latch on that door. It is broken. The cat was able to easily push the door and get back outside. He is suffering so badly.

I had to cut my workout short due to all the time spend trying to find another contact lens to wear. During abbreviated workout heard old Gordon Lightfoot song "Sundown".
Sometimes I think it's a sin when you feel like you're winning when you're losing again.

And at work they are all talking about the "great Warriors game".

I am in despair.

That 4th quarter was horrible, they played like complete ass.
What the hell happened?

I don't expect us to win this series, but upsetting the dumbest fans in the league for 1 night could've been nice.

Oh man, I'm so sorry.

It sucks to hear from the neophyte fans of the team. :(

Damn, that 4th quarter was SOOOOOOO frustrating to watch because we had that game in our hands. UGH! I may be in the vast minority, but I actually didn't have a problem with Lillard starting the 4th quarter on the bench. As far as I'm concerned, he could've started off cold and may not have gotten hot at all. In fact, the players could've at least matched them shot for shot. The defense that was amazing in the first quarter was nonexistent. Plumlee. Mason Plumlee. Smh man. If only he could score. I really hope we get a scoring big so Plumlee comes off the bench (which would be better for him).

As far as the Warriors are concerned, games like these make it hard to watch when refs need to get involved. I honestly have ZERO hatred for the Warriors (and the Spurs for that matter because I love Kawhi), but their fans.....need to be humbled BADLY. I surely hope we win games 3 and 4, but it seems very unlikely. Regardless, I'm still very proud of this team. I'm sure Olshey will handle his business during free agency.

Sorry to hear that. I am very much a "dawg" person...but I hate to see any animal suffer.

The Warriors outscored Portland 34-12 in the fourth quarter, allowing a Warrior playoff-low-tying point total for any quarter in the Shot Clock Era (since 1954). Their 22-point advantage in the fourth was the Warrior’s biggest margin in a playoff quarter since May 10, 1987, when Sleepy Floyd scored an NBA-record 29 fourth-quarter points against the Lakers.

Klay Thompson scored 10 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter and the Warriors defense stymied Portland to 5-of-19 shooting in the fourth quarter, which included a stretch when Portland went scoreless from 5:21 to 1:38.
