I was just reading over on one of the Nuggets forum. I think the funniest thing I read was them complaining about Doris Burke being so one sided in favor of the Blazers. I don't troll other sites so I didn't respond, but I thought what a homer. Also they are convinced that it was a badly one sided officiated game and that Kanter is faking the shoulder injury.

They are quickly climbing up to rocket fan status.

Not exactly sure where "Playoff Aminu" went but they could have used one of those wide open threes he took to fall last night. Seriously he could have been the hero of that game.
I just remember the one shot from the free throw line he airballed. And yeah this is the guy i should trust? He is awful offensiv player

Seriously man what is your point here?
Are you really going to try and throw shade on the player that won them that game last night? Really?
I've been having this conversation with stat monkeys for years. The fact is Stats don't measure heart or desire to win and ability to perform when the pressure is on. CJ absolutely without question was the reason the Blazers win game three. If you can't see that then i don't know what to tell you? He even made the assist that got Hood the open shot to win the game.
What more does this guy have to do to get stat monkeys around this forum to back up?

Years ago it was Mathews. Statistically speaking we was not a good SG. Total three and D player. If even that because at times he didn't shoot the three well. But everyone seemed to agree when he went down that he was the "Heart and Soul" of the team.
Would you like me to go to Steve Blake?
How about Rod Strickland?
Joel Pryzbilla?
How About Brian Grant? How many times did we see Brian Grant will this team to a victory in the playoffs? His advanced stats are mediocre at best. Try to tell Blazer fans his stats weren't good.

You want to come at me with stats???? I say bring it! I will defeat the stat story every time.

In no way shape or form was I putting down CJ. I said:

CJ & Dame have to take a lot of shots because those are our only two creators. But when Aminu does get a shot, people also should be happy, because when he does he is significantly more efficient than CJ.

That was in response to various opposing posts that said something like:
(1) CJ was inefficient and taking too many shots
(2) Better CJ shoot than Aminu shoot

Both of those are wrong. CJ (and Dame) have to shoot a lot because players like Aminu cannot create shots for themselves BUT when Aminu does get a shot, no one should cringe because a typical Aminu shot is more efficient shot than a typical CJ shot. I was defending Aminu, not putting down CJ. Aminu can't get a shot without Dame or CJ.

You get no argument from me regarding the contributions of Wes Mathews, Brian Grant, Joel P. etc. Incidentally Wes Mathews had an adjusted +/- of +3.65 4th best SG in the NBA before he got injured.

Don't know if this was posted, but it's a really good article that isn't biased for once. CBSSports. I'd copy and paste it, but there's a game on tomorrow and I need to get some shit done around here..... Lol

Nuggets vs. Blazers Game 3 score: Five takeaways from instant classic, 4-OT thriller as Portland takes 2-1 series lead

It was a great game and a great win, but the thing that bothered me was the overtimes largely boiled down to offensive possessions with no scheme to speak of--Portland was utterly dependent on Lillard, McCollum (and, at the end, Hood) hitting high-degree-of-difficulty shots (granted, Hood's last shot was a good one, but it came after a very difficult one from McCollum that missed and then a remarkable rebound and pass by McCollum). They hit enough of them, obviously, to win--but they kept almost losing because they had a ton of empty possessions where Lillard or McCollum just fired up crazy shots that missed. Usually after dribbling the ball into the floor for most of the possession and, at most, getting a screen or two before firing.

They needed more of an offensive plan. I realize everyone's tired, but that's the worst time to demand individual heroics over and over and over (as opposed to a single shot)--difficult shots become even more difficult with tired legs and arms. Denver got a number of easier baskets during the overtime and it wasn't because Portland's defense was poor.
I noticed the same thing. Dame and cj seem to respond to tough defense by going 1 on 1

Rod Strickland was a horrible teammate and an asshole. He has no business being on that list.

Are you saying that CJ is the heart and soul of this team?
Rod was an out of control alcoholic for most of his NBA career...the guy coached in Russia and got a DUI in Russia...you know how drunk you have to be to get a DUI in Russia? He's admitted all that since and been sober awhile now. That being said, he played while drunk but as to his game...it was beautiful to watch...his two man game with Sabo was amazing. Maybe one of the most gifted small pt guards to play the game...his addiction held him back ...shame really

I think it's true! She LOVES the Blazers. When I saw she was on I was welcoming of her positivity. I'm so used to Kevin McHale and his 0.9 grudge. It was a breath of fresh air to have Doris.

Fact is in these playoffs when he hasn't been on the floor the Nuggets have looked sub-average. Malone saw a chance to get back home court, and if the Nuggets pulled this off, Sunday's game is house money for Denver.

So it made sense from that perspective. Like Dame playing the entire fourth quarter in the one win over OKC.

We found a way to pull it out. And now a star player with questionable stamina has to come back in less than two days after playing more than 60 minutes. Malone made a reasonable gamble but the Blazers were up to it and made him pay big time for it.
lol...now if you were given the importunity for some loving or to watch the game to completion which would you do? Cant do both though.
I was with my then partner when Suns and Bulls played triple OT in Finals. We figured as soon as game was over. That was start of fourth. By the time 3 OTs over we nearly ran each other over on the way to bedroom.

Don't do it. It's his last chance. He needs to head to another city and follow a different team.

CJ: 41% FG | 36.4% 3PT
Lillard: 41% FG | 22.2% 3PT

Aminu: 2/9 FG | 0/5 3PT
Hark: 6/14 FG | 1/5 3PT
AliExpress Curry: 1/6 FG | 1/5 3PT

wHy iS cJ sHOOtinG sO mUch?!1 hE nEarly cOST uS tHa gAmEZ!!
Dame 81 pts on 62 shots
CJ 77 pts on 76 shots

But sure.

btw, this series:

CJ: 40.7% FG | 36% 3PT
Lillard: 42.7% FG | 23.3% 3Pt

CJ hasn't been bad this series, he's been a good number 2 and those are ok shooting % for the playoffs.
Lillard has room for improvement this series which gives us hope for closing this thing out.

I would worry more about boxing the hell out than who shoots. We would have won by double digits in regulation time if we just did that.

Sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce like you want it to. I think a lot of their offensive boards were just crazy bounces.
