That's a big 10-4.

I would. Parker would be an insanely huge upgrade.

Spurs' #1 pick is worthless. Late end of draft = stash a young forieing player. We don't need young foreign players anymore.

Trade is basically LA + Aldridge for Parker.

No thanks.

See: Tony Parker, Rudy Fernandez, Manu Ginobli, Sergio Rodriguez... or any of Kevin Pritchard's draft-day trades. And there's always the chance that SAS continues to struggle and the pick becomes a high pick.

I don't see why anybody would not want Tony Parker.

The guy is a 26 year old elite PG. He's only three years older than LaMarcus and would vault this team into the elite.

A Roy/Parker backcourt would be scary.

Think about it.

Parker is an excellent player, but he's not the superstar some on this board make him out to be. Look at the Spurs now. They're actually playing better now that Parker's injured.

I'm surprised at all the no's.

You guys are severely underrating Tony Parker.

Emphatic no!!!

As is, this team is a 60 win team at home. Next year we'll be a 50 win team on the road. The year after we will be a 60 win team overall.

I cry patience.

I would do it as long as Brandon talked LA into resigning here when his contract is up. DYNASTY BITCHES.

I would do it anyway really.

I assume you meant Bayless + Aldridge....

As for this trade....if I were a Blazer fan, I'd be all over it. You get a top 5 PG in the NBA and would instantly have one of the best backcourts in the NBA.

fixedddddddddddddddddddddd

Seriously.

I also heard we could get LeBron for Raef...would you do it?

Are you implying the trade mentioned above is absurdly unfair?

I thought so too. Luckily, Pritchard is more intelligent than most of us.

No, I'm just saying a lot of these trade ideas are pulled out of people's asses and it just gets a little absurd combing through one after another after another.

this is a no brainer. Yes.

Yes, this is a no brainer. I wouldn't do it because I think in the long run it would weaken the Blazers as a team intead of strengthen the team as it is now. The departure of LA at PF results in a weakened position and the acquisition of Parker would reduce Sergios playing time which he needs as he looks to be breaking out. Also, if we gave up JB, who knows what we would be losing as he hasn't had a real chance to develop his potential.

At this point in time, I say thanks but no thanks. And I promise I'll get back to you at some undetermined point in time in the future.

I'd rather get duncan for those players then Parker. Him and Oden would get us atleast 3 championships

I'd do it. It's easier to get a power forward next year than a point guard. i would target Boozer. Of course, I would rather have Duncan.

I dunno that is really hard to decide. Our team is so good right now as they are. Why mix it up? Sure Parker is better then LA, but our team is playing so well together and we don't really need another floor general. We got one.

And I really think we need to wait and see what happens with Bayless. He could be just as good as Parker. Or like a mini-Iverson.

By the end of this season, Portland stands a good chance of being elite without making a move.

An Oden/LA frontcourt is going to be scary sooner then later and Bayless projects perfectly to round out a backcourt with Rudy and Roy.

Think about it and be happy about how loaded the club is

When was the last time a team with a top 5 PG won a title? Would you have considered Parker a top 5 PG when Spurs last won? I would even go so far as to say that MOST of the time, Point Guard is the least important position for a championship team (See: Rando, old Cassell, old Gary Payton, Derek Fisher, BJ Armstrong, etc...) or they can't push a borderline team over the top (Nash, Kidd, etc..)

Championship teams are defensively sound and led by superstar swingmen and post players. We have something very good in the post with LA and Oden and sacrificing that for a PG wouldn't pay off, IMHO.
