Pornography In Avatars

You only see the ad because the ad sense detected porn in your avatar. My... no avatar... no ads. (I wish) ;)

Seriously though... I like to read this forum on breaks at work... but the avatars make me think twice. I could care less when I am at home though.
 
Well all of those with avatars like that are violating the site rules for one.

One of the administrators, a freaking administrator, Petey, said that he doesn't like to look at this site when he's at work because of the avatars.

If this is the type of stuff S2 wants to allow on their site, then that's fine. But what eventually will happen is that people will find sites that are "work friendly", and start viewing those while at work, and then S2 at home. Gradually they'll migrate full time to those "work friendly" sites, and S2 will have lost a member.

Political statement avatars make viewing this site totally impossible in many public places I frequent, as they would end up costing me clients who would be offended, or would think I'm unpatriotic, or would think I'm mentally challenged.

That's why I don't view ANY message boards in public settings. That, and the fact you'd have to be an incredible introvert to do so while in a public place where there are real people to interact with instead.

Get a life or block the avatars you don't like.

I don't see the connection between having a girl in your avatar and being a "cyber dork". TBH, I'd rather see a bikini clad Megan Fox than Pinocchio Obama or w/e any day...

Here in America, we have the first amendment. People like you have no business imposing their sense of morality on others. Get over yourself. If you don't like viewing stuff here then don't. If someone looking over your shoulder is offended because of what you are viewing then tell them to MIND THEIR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS.

Besides, there is a place for people who LIKE censorship. If thats what you LIKE then you really should go there. Its called http://www.basketballforum.com/portland-trail-blazers/ Maybe you've heard of it. I know no one posts anymore there. But they do censor a lot of things there. Oh, wait, thats why everyone left and came over here. Yes. And as I recall you made the same kinds of arguments over there about content, language and pictures. Except everyone left the playground and came here. You followed. If you don't like the way the kiddies are playing here then go back there.

Just put tape over the avatars, or use a Sharpie
 
i guess this site will just lose a ton of traffic from people not wanting to visit during work...their loss

While at work, avatars can simply be removed from view:

User CP

Setting & Options (Edit Options)

(scroll down)

Uncheck Show Avatars


Simple as that. :)
