The Seattle Times writes that any expansion into Portland would likely be opposed by the Seattle Mariners because it would cut into the Mariners' local television market. "The organization has long counted Oregon and Portland as part of their fan footprint," wrote Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times.

Can we tell Seattle that they don't get another NBA team because they're part of our market now? Please tell me we can. I want to see the stuck up Seattlelites crying about how they're bigger and better than Portland.

This is why I don't get people from here being Seattle sports fans (I'm guilty of this by being a casual Mariner fan), those teams will be what ever keeps us from getting our own. It's a joke smaller places like Cincinnati, Kansas City, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, etc have more teams.

Thinking about this.....

Our only real threat is Vegas if baseball wants a pacific time zone team. I fully would expect Vegas to get the team in the end.

Would be sweet if we tore down the Memorial Coliseum and built a new baseball stadium though.

I like the NBA more than any of them, personally. I'd love MLB here, but having been a Braves fan for close to 30 years, they'd likely always be my 2nd team. NHL, meh, I'd pay more attention, and root for them, but would prefer MLB or NFL. And NFL just aint happening.
