Portland TriMet bus driver

Was caught yesterday on camera reading his iBook (or something like it) while driving with his elbow.

I had a similar experience. Back in my HS days I took a Greyhound Bus from Portland to Seattle, it was directly after the Blazers were eliminated from the Playoffs that year. Traffic on I-5 was a nightmare. As we were nearing Seattle it was bumper to bumper and the driver was having a full blown convo with a trainee he had on board. I kid you not, we were about a millisecond from backending a city bus that was in front of us.

Doesn't matter. It's a union employee. So long as they don't kill someone their job is safe.

BTW, I used to know someone who drove a Maxx. He said when a car appears before them at an intersection all they can do was drop the sand and watch the carnage.

Our news said the driver's on administrative leave pending investigation.
