Watching Meyers more closely, it is true that he's trying on D a lot more and does look to box out. But he's still totally ineffective! He must have very little lower body strength because he just gets pushed around. Gobert is so much better than him it's painful.

But point taken about our guards being chuckers who don't really look for him. But then again, he freezes when he gets the ball - it's almost cruel to give it to him.

I don't hate Leonard, he's playing better in some areas and tonight is his best game in a long, long time but he has had some really terrible perfornances up until this game and that is being objective. I disagree that it's the roster that's holding Meyers back though, he should eat up the summer league 5s and he really hasn't

Dont get me wrong, I dont think it would make a HUGE difference if Leonard had a good PG setting him up. However, since he is definitely more skilled on offense than defense, he would have a better offensive performance.

I dont know how many times I have seen Leonard run a nice little pick and roll and the ballhandler doesnt feed him. I can recall at least 2 with Barton where he looked right at him and Barton just dribbled out instead.

On another note, the scorers really suck in summer league, they dont credit rebounds or blocks very well at all. Leonard should have at least 8 right now.

It's hard to believe that the core of this team has been practicing together for about a month. It seems to me that, for this lot to be useful, it has to be a mad scramble. So why can't we go to the '90's Sonics style of full-court pressing? That would certainly play to Will's strengths.
