Okay, fine.

The previous thread was started over a year and a half ago, had over 3,300 posts many of which involved players that are no longer on the roster, and I wanted to start a clean one so people didn't skip it simply because it was such a large thread. Is that okay with you?

No. Please revert to the original thread. Thank you.

What do you see/believe will happening? Regardless of player, trade or no trade?
I think they will make a trade using either Whiteside and/or Bazemore simply because they are big expiring contracts. The only question is if they can afford to wait until closer to the trade deadline to do so.

I think it will Bazemore at trade deadline and if out the Playoffs it could be both.

Ibaka and fill for Whiteside
Ibaka and Collins would've been such a good big duo, oh well. I actually think that Toronto will keep their squad together this year as long as they are in the playoffs for two reasons. The first is that I think there is some sentimental feelings of rewarding them for winning a championship and the second is that I think they want to try and win the east again to stick it to Kawhi. I could be wrong though.

Ibaka is definitely a guy we should look into with the MLE this summer.

Honestly something was really changed with Baze's body language in SF..on the bench after that really bad pass on the fast break he had his head buried in his hands....maybe he knows something we don't about his situation..he's a guy that could bring value with his contract and shooting poorly to start

Yeah, if we're out of the playoff picture at the trade deadline then I think you for sure trade both. It would be really nice if a situation like with NY last year presented itself where giving up a couple of picks and expiring contracts got you a Porzingis type player just by taking on some other salary.

I noticed his body language too. In my opinion, he was simply mad at himself for making several mistakes and missing a bunch of wide open shots.

If the Pistons are on the outside of the playoff race come the trade deadline then I'd trade Whiteside's expiring contract, Trent and a number one for Blake Griffin. If we don't have a clear path to the playoffs then still do the deal but that number one is 2021.

I like Noel too.
Any thoughts on Wendell Carter Jr. and/or Lauri Markkanen? Wendell is putting up good numbers. Lauri doesn't seem to be a defensive minded player but he can score.

Bazemore hasn't liked Trail Blazers posts on Instagram in the last few days, before he liked everything . Mhhhhh

Trent+Protected pick for Nerlens Noel

Simple, fills a need.
Man, I wouldn't give up a pick for Noel. For the record he has a no-trade clause for some reason too and we wouldn't have any bird rights to re-sign him next year.

Portland and Chicago

Portland gets Otto Porter Jr

Chicago gets Hassan Whiteside and Gary Trent Jr

Otto Porter and the Bulls have been terrible this year. This gets them out of his contract for next year. Portland may not even need to include Trent to get this done. The Blazers would then go sign Kenneth Faried with the extra roster spot. Porter can play the 3 or the 4 and is a plus 40% shooter for his career on 3 point attempts.

[/QUOTEPorter has been sj
He's played awful this year. He's also got a history of hip issues.
Three out of his last four games have been pretty good; getting 20 points on high shooting % and 3-4 assists. Not doing much rebounding though.

I really think Jonathan Isaac would be a good fit.

What about CJ+Nas for Nance, Sexton, Osman, and Henson?

We need to deal Baze and pick for Gallo as soon as we can and then after Nurk is back or right at the deadline deal Whiteside’s expiring for Porter. Come playoff time

Nurk/Collins
Gallo/Skal
Porter/Hood
CJ/Ant
Dame

That’s a good 9 man imo, if we can swing Trent and anyone not listed about for nice back up PG that would even be better.

Honestly think the person to target is Aaron Gordon. He's not a world beater but he can play, gives us more size and scoring at the 3/4 and if we offered up Baze plus a pick for him, I think Orlando take it. They have so much depth at the 3/4/5, they can't fit them all in.

If Baze and a pick was all it took to get Gordon, I'd be all on board, but I really doubt that valuation.

Knicks are about to scapegoat another coach after that failed roster construction. I'd keep an eye on that. They have a glut of forwards, and I love the idea of Ntilikina as our third/fourth guard.

Check out this bizarre PC with their Pres/GM. What was the point of this?

If we could somehow get Randle.....he's playing like ass but the guy would be fucking blistering in a pick and roll with Dame. Randle is a playmaker at the 4 spot and would destroy teams on the short roll. Poor man's Griffin. His defense blows but whatever. It's not like we have the makings of a good defensive team anyways.

Seems like another empty stats guy. I would say he's closer to Faried than Griffin. Think we have enough reclamation projects. I wanna stay away from career losers.

Frank Ntilikina is my #1 target outside a blockbuster (Love, Draymond) -- the Knicks continue to play him out of position, he'd be our SF.
