Booker just ate CJ up on defense on that final possession.

I hope Suns management is unable to put a quality team around this kid, otherwise he/they are going to be real trouble real soon.

Not to say you're wrong because Booker did move his feet on defense there.
But Booker also had two hands on CJ above the ft line when you're technically not even allowed one.
I personally don't like how CJ waited until 6.9 on the clock before he started to make his move. So I believe it was a bad end of quarter possession anyway.
But a foul is a foul.

I agree but a foul is only a foul if it's called a foul.

I learned tonight that Napier is a ball hog. He is allergic to passing the ball. Almost cost us the game.

I was surprised to Stotts leave the third strings in all of the 4th.

Thank goodness for Noah Vonleh tonight

Last season, pretty much only Dame and CJ put the ball on the floor; everyone else was a spot-up shooter, or rebounder.

So far in the first two preseason games, everyone seems to be looking to drive, and not just settle for the jumpshot.

The extra distributors in Turner, and Naipier; and the willingness of everyone not to settle, seems to really help Dame; free him up.

CJ on the other hand looked a bit lost (this game) without the ball in his hands, and forced it too much when he did have the rock. There's a possibility we might need to run more plays for CJ initially to get him going, or maybe it will all just click for him if we shorten the rotation for the regular season.

On the new broadcast crew; I liked Olzendam from the start, but wasn't sure about Calabro and Hurd in the first game (although they did get better as the game went on). That said, I'm sold on them after the second game; I reckon they dialed up their homerism about 2-3%, and I'm liking it.

Well in preseason one of the priorities is evaluating the end of the bench guys in game time experience when it does t count for record. A win counts as much as a loss at this point... Nothing.

Also. CJ had been really off. I've literally never seen him miss a wide open 15 foot jump shot in transition like he has a few times this preaeason. Booker cooked him

Did he ever. I'm a huge Cj guy but he's been underwhelming this pre season. I'm sure he'll break out with real efficiency soon

Great post game on CSN. Orlando, Dwight, and especially Isaac are awesome. HOWEVER, W.T.H. is Jason Quick doing on it??????? Noooooooo..........

Damn. All his material is just the stuff from his latest "chemistry" article too.... NEXT!.....

Vonleh looked way more comfortable at PF. He looked lost at C.

I noticed the lights were dimmed again. Did you like it or not? How was the crowd noise/participation, and do you think the lights made a difference either way?

I noticed the court is brighter than last season but other than that I didn't notice a difference, although I only get to go to one or two games a year so maybe that affects my opinion.:dunno:

As for the crowd noise/participation; We're talking about Blazers fans here so of course the crowd noise was excellent. Had a guy behind me that sounded like the manager from the movie 'Major League' shouting and yelling the whole game.

Had a good time.
