The problem I have with Turner is that he dribbles the ball SO HIGH. It's like he's trying to wing the thing up to shoulder level. Keep it down low!

Meh. These guys bore me still. I'm trying to like them, they just aren't doing anything for me.

This 2nd unit someone need to step up and be a leader this 2nd game they came out and just can't get something going.

I think Turner can eventually be a starter for us, but not yet. We do things way differently here in Portland than Boston does. He's going to need lots of time to adjust to that.

I'm worried that he's one of those players that needs a coach to rein him in a bit, but we have a coach who takes encourages players to basically be undisciplined. That works well sometimes with players who are physically gifted but have never really been given a chance to shine, but can backfire with others. We'll see. Still too early for me to worry too much I guess. It's just preseason and I'm sure they aren't taking it 100% seriously. Still feeling each other and their new roles out.

He's not looking good as a backup PG either. Napier is making a case for that role.

I'm not sure I see that happening. So we'd have Dame, ET, Hark, Aminu, and Plum? Aminu and Harkless have shot well tonight, but they aren't consistent. That lineup would severely suffer from lack of shooters. I think it has to come down to Harkless and Turner at the 3, and Turner fits better with the second unit than the starters, imo. I see what you're saying though. CJ fits the profile of a bench scorer and he makes our defense in the starting lineup weaker.

Nor do they have an intimidating rim protector once we let someone into the paint. I can't wait to see if Ezeli helps this at all.
