What kind of season do you foresee Meyers having?

This is just bad basketball we are lucky it just preseason. Really except for the 1st game out regulars have been playing terrible. If Wasnt our 3 string we might just have 1 win this preseason.

Yeah. I'm hoping it's just rust or preseason jitters. Vonleh''s shown potential though.

I do think that some of the starters have been coasting, since you know, pre-season really doesn't mean much.

The defense needs work, regardless.

Von is very good rebounder that his strength and decent defender. His offense coming.

Well. This is nice. Got to watch my 9ers embarrass themselves for the 5th strait week, and now this.

Nice. Swell. Great day for Sports.

I think offensively some guys are working on things they've been trying to improve individually, so they aren't as sharp as they could be.

Defensively, I agree.

Are you a Beaver fan too? Football season has been rough for me...

Final round of cuts are going to be interesting. Layman shows promise but needs to adjust to the league. Pat's still going nowhere.

Well they shot 33 free throw we shot 19. They was aggressive and we was passive. We made 15 turnover and they had 10. Again we are so passive on defense but that how Stotts scheme is and it just don't work. This why our bigs get in foul trouble there waiting for players driving to the bucket no player can adjust to that and end up into a foul. Instead the big come up and stop the drive at the top there flat footed under basket.

This was Lillard's worst game in history.

In 18 minutes, Lillard shot 1-10 for 4 points and had 4 turnovers, the most on either team, and missed his free throws. He stank so much that the Coach wouldn't let him play in the 2nd half. If Lillard had, thus doubling his box score line, it would read, shots 2-20 for 8 points, 0-4 free throws, and 8 turnovers. Wow. 18 missed field goals. He really sucked.

We'd be a completely different team (in a good way) if we had a low-post threat who could draw fouls.

Nukic was a load.

Man, if I shot 2 for 20, I'd go crawl under a rock and hide. Whenever Lillard has a horrible game, we hear the next day that he suddenly has a mysterious pain that he's been playing with.

Apparently you've never heard of "regression to the mean". You can't just take a really bad half and double it as if the second half is a copy of the first. That's just statistically wrong. Your numbers are therefore invalid and bullshit.

There is a huge lack of chemistry out there. They can turn it around, but I doubt they can by the start of the season. Hopefully they can stay close to the 500 mark....... until they do. They are all showing some "flashes" on an individual level, but right now there are just too many ugly turnovers. It's fixable, just not sure how long it's going to take.

It's not like the sky is falling. I do think we still need some low post scoring. Ezeli will help some when he gets healthy.

Do we take a stab at Monroe or Henson? Bucks are injury stricken and could use a Crabbe or any other SF and maybe a Myle etc.

Jabari has had 2 injuries in 2 years and Middleton, their best scorer is out for 6 months. Monroe has a player option after this year.

But but but he could have gone 10/100 had he been given a chance.

But I'm confused, I thought we were supposed to win 55 games......

I'm disappointed with Stotts in not putting in more effort in force-feeding Vonleh in the post. We have a small sample size, but that sample size shows us an incredible efficiency for Vonleh when he's shooting in the post. Why don't we explore this more? It's not like we have any other post options. Get him some more shots in the post please. Let's see if he can maintain this efficiency with increased volume.

#preseason.

This has been an interesting revelation that I did not expect.

Noah Vonleh needs PT.

What does Meyers bring you that Noah doesn't? Because I can name you at least a few things that Noah can bring you that Meyers can't.

Hideous game.
Every team has at least one a season.
Let's hope the Blazers got it out of their system, with laxative if need be, so we never see it again.

I am not sure how either help. Both are one dimensional yet complete opposites.
Monroe is a low post scorer, but he is not a good rim protector nor a great passer. The ball movement would be even worse and it would not help the TO issue.

Henson is a a fine role player off the bench. Good shot blocker but limited on offense.

No, I think you are wrong. In fact, it should probably be extrapolated over the entire season so we know what to expect. So, that would mean Lillard will be making 164 out of 1640 shots he will be taking.

It's a training camp game....nobody diving for loose balls or risking injury. Let it bake....20 games int0 regular season we'll see what we're dealing with. We're healthy and deep.
