Who are these folks? You seem to have conversations with imaginary interlocutors. Nobody on this board has any more to go on than you do - ask people who've been in camp with them.

Don't know who pissed in your beer, but I'm reasonably certain it wasn't me.

BTW, I do want to thank you about one thing. Until you decided to use that picture as your avatar, I never realized how much Stotts reminds me of Trump.

We'll get to find out. I felt like Stotts wasn't doing his best to try and make things work and Chauncey will. That being said, it doesn't necessarily mean it will, I'm just happy that it'll be a situation in which we'll be able to find out for sure if Dame and C.J. can coexist at a high enough level to be a contender or not. If not, then hopefully C.J. gets traded around the deadline for a guy like Siakam.

It’s not rocket science to figure out that they can’t coexist at a high enough level. Small backcourts like that, don’t.

only 1 time in like 50 years has a small team with its 2 best players in the backcourt ever won a championship. It was the Pistons and Joe Dumars was undersized but also one of the best defenders in the league

Except the league is smaller now than any time in the past 50 years, so that's not enough for me. The narrative was heavy 3pt shooting teams couldn't win a championship until the Warriors did, so just because it hasn't been done doesn't mean much to me.

I need to see it under a different coach that's trying his best to implement the proper system, because when I watch the Blazers defensive struggles, they don't seem to be due to CJ's height.

And I'm pretty sure you were allowed to shiv people in those days.

Yep. Stotts would have the team in midseason form in the preseason and preseason form in the play-offs.
What form are we in right now bro? Noticed how you typed that we’d actually be IN the playoffs though right?

You are just representing the "[unspecified] people are saying [thing nobody is saying], and I don't get it" crowd.

If you haven't seen quite a few messages predicting improvement for Little and Simons - you must have a helluva lot of people on ignore.

We got there - and got curb-stomped. How long does a coach get to slide on one pretty good post-season out of 9 years? What is his over-all winning percentage in the play-offs?

Edit: 23-44 for his career. Even if you choose to ignore the 0-4 record pre-Blazers, that is hardly anything to brag about.
COming with that heat bro. Did you ever answer my question? What are you happy with taking from preseason that you hope continues into the regular season?

A 12-10 start puts us on a 50-win pace IMO if accounting for strength of opponent. People will panic at the though of .500 going into December but it should set us up for a very strong 2nd half push once players are comfortable in the new system and the easier strength of schedule down the stretch.
SHHHEEEEEIIIITTTT! If we are .500 at Christmas we should be celebrating!

OK, you win. In a league where over half the teams make the play-offs his ability to to reach the play-offs and get consistently out-coached is awe-inspiring. Do you mind if I rename my kid Terry in his honor? I ask, because I know you have gotten in the habit of calling him John Jr.

Not a damn thing. I expected a tough learning curve and that is what we are getting.

I’ll take making the playoffs every season and getting bumped in the first than NOT making it.

Another thing, it seems the term”Holding players accountable” seems to have vanished. I mean that shit was getting tossed around here every other post. If I’m not mistaken, Billups didn’t even go into the locker room after the Suns loss? What?

But those Warriors teams played defense.

….if we win four of our first five games, I see us winning 44 - 47 games.

…..but if we lose four of our first five games, it’s gonna be tough to forecast a 35-win season.

at home vs Kings
at home vs Suns
road game at Clippers
at home vs Grizzlies
at home vs Clippers

Four of our first five are at Home! We should realistically be 4-1 or maybe 3-2 at the end of the first 5. But judging by what I’ve seen, I wouldn’t be surprised if we wind up 1-4 or 2-3.

maybe Dame takes games over and leads the league in scoring after 5 games and we find ourselves at 5-0!

So. In a 10-12 year span, whats better?

1st and 2nd round exits in the playoffs every year?
or 4 years of lottery, 3 years of growth and 3-5 years of true championship contention?

Agreed that it's not about CJ's height. It's his height, plus lack of wingspan, plus lack of athletic ability, plus lack of effort and sometimes downright laziness, and that part where he seems much more interested in his wine than in making a defensive effort on most nights.

Also agreed about the Warriors. Put 3 of the better 3-pt shooters in the league all on the same roster who are elite in how they create those shots, who also have some length and you have a recipe for breaking that historical data. Then again, the exeption almost proves the rule.
