Game Thread PREZ DEBATE #1: Chris Wallace Moderates on Sept 29th!

Welcome to our community

He was asked to do two things at once, and he answered the second question and moved on.

The last question /request Wallace asked him to tell these groups to "stand down and not add to the violence".

Trump asked for a specific group name.

Biden said "Proud Boys"

"Proud Boys, stand back and stand by".
Bro, i can't believe you are typing this shit. You are defending fucking racists. You don't hang with people like this do you?

I'm interpreting what happened. Sorry if the truth scares you.

Who are the "fucking racists" I am defending and how?

We need to stop calling his supporters, "the base."

We need to call them what they are:

Selfish, racist, homophobic, bigots who don't have one ounce of empathy or true patriotism.

  1. base

Call them deplorables.

I think even though Joe bumbled around a bit he won the debate. Not necessarily on substance as he in a politicians fashion, evaded few questions.
Mission accomplished then. Let the orangoutang keep burying himself.
I kept looking at the screen when Biden wanted to call out Trump on something and I would yell, "Shut up"! "Don't say a word"!

and again, pure deflection

trump's people are acting like trump arrived at the debate last night with no history of racism. But he has a long history whether it's his smearing of the Central Park 5, or his birthirism about Obama, or "Mexican Rapists". or "good people both sides". or shithole countries, or China Virus, or his shining moment in last night's debate. Trump has spent decades dancing around on the thin ice over a lake of racism and hate, and often takes a step too far and breaks thru. Last night was not a one-off

and all the clean up efforts, like that tweet, are useless and just trying to obscure the basic point: trump was asked to condemn white supremacy and he just couldn't do it. Not last night and not today so far. Saying that some extremist white supremacy group should stand down and let LE do their thing is not condemning white supremacy; not even close

He broke thru the ice last night and sunk into the lake of racism well over his head. Quit trying to tell us he didn't get wet because only morons will believe that bullshit

" President Trump’s angry insistence in the last minutes of Tuesday’s debate that there was no way the presidential election could be conducted without fraud amounted to an extraordinary declaration by a sitting American president that he would try to throw any outcome into the courts, Congress or the streets if he was not re-elected.

His comments came after four years of debate about the possibility of foreign interference in the 2020 election and how to counter such disruptions. But they were a stark reminder that the most direct threat to the electoral process now comes from the president of the United States himself.

“[Trump’s] unwillingness to say he would abide by the result, and his disinformation campaign about the integrity of the American electoral system, went beyond anything President Vladimir V. Putin could have imagined. All Mr. Putin has to do now is amplify the president’s message, which the Russian leader has already begun to do.

" But that is not how our own intelligence agencies are viewing Trump’s performance. As Sanger reports, they see his behavior as deliberate, and his statements (possibly) as an intentional signal to Putin to amplify Russian disinformation efforts directed against American citizens. According to Sanger (who chooses his words carefully here), U.S. intelligence distinctly sees a coded conduit of communication between this president and Russian intelligence, specifically raising concerns in the intelligence community “that Mr. Trump’s rant about a fraudulent vote may have been intended for more than just a domestic audience.”

"They have been worried for some time that his warnings are a signal to outside powers — chiefly the Russians — for their disinformation campaign, which has seized on his baseless theme that the mail-in ballots are ridden with fraud. But what concerns them the most is that over the next 34 days, the country may begin to see disruptive cyberoperations, especially ransomware, intended to create just enough chaos to prove the president’s point
