There were only like two things I wish he would have handled differently, though:

If you're only comparing him to Trump, tonight, he may not have sucked. But he still fucking sucks, in my opinion.

But also every democrat acting like Biden didn't also throw personal attacks, interrupt, and raise his voice is not helpful for me. OF COURSE Trump did it more. But Biden was not a picture of perfect calmness.

still not one reason you have given for this opinion of yours.

I miss bernie as much as the next guy but this is about uniting the country against a hateful, racist, incompetent criminal. biden took the first steps toward that tonight.

Everyone hates everyone that doesn't agree with them. Human nature. When Obama was in power, the right saw it as he was the worst thing to happen on earth. If Hillary won, the right would be basically how triggered out the left is right now.

Its just cyclical one-upsmanship on "who won" and "who lost".

Nah, this cracker gave his followers a green light to hate. It will always be there, but he made it hip. And as our leader has stepped away from the mic when he had opportunities to squash it and has in fact inflamed the situation. He most definitely is the root of the current situation my man.

And conversely, the left is giving the green light to burn down cities. They made it hip. When they had the opportunity to squash it, they inflamed the situation.

Corporations pay less taxes. Organizations pay less taxes. Its been that way for a long time. This isn't anything groundbreaking.

In what ways is he "uniting the country"?

Universal healthcare should be a no brainier for the Democratic candidate. A complete no brainier. He doesn't support a green new deal. He wants to INCREASE police funding. The way he keeps disparaging Bernie is just disrespectful. "I beat the socialist", etc. He's not just not for these things because Trump would attack him more of he did. It's because the Democratic establishment and it's corporate interests don't support these things. And sorry but yeah, that fucking sucks to me.

No, I don't do talking points. I don't revolve my life around politics because it honestly doesn't affect me that much. Its a waste of time and stupid. I pop in with opinions here and there, but I've stepped away from politics and my life has gotten exponentially better because of it.

Its a shame that the democrats couldn't muster up anyone better than "at least he's not Trump" in the last 4 years. Young voter apathy would be the downfall if the Dems shockingly lose again. And by tonight's reaction, it certainly seems that way. Most young people are disgusted with what they saw and have no faith.

The problem is our two party system. Biden was my last choice in the primaries. But to me, we are not at a stage where we can even debate policies and issues. The only case he needs to make for me is not Trump.

As for the uniting issues, i'll respond later but i saw quite a few instances tonight. Almost 2 am for me. :(

I agree, and that system is what gave us Biden as our nominee. And I get that the most important thing right now is that he's not Trump, but I don't think debating his policies that I don't like hurts him. I'm still voting for him. I highly doubt that admitting there are many things I don't agree with him on is going to help Trump.

He was my last choice too. I did not vote for him in the primary, but I will vote for him over Trump.
