Quick: "Blazers leaning towards standing pat"

Great, so instead of listening to the coach, you're going to listen to Chad Ford instead. It's nice knowing who you selectively like to believe. I'll keep that in mind from now on.

Yeah--the coach who has a responsibility to and connection with his players, or the journalist whose job it is to investigate trade possibilities. You think the coach is the more objective source?

It doesn't matter what the coach says. You claimed that getting Wallace isn't "realistic". It seems realistic to me, and certainly not worth arguing over, is it?

I love it. Every trade is unrealistic, every player we might trade for is crap, etc, etc.

Don't people ever get tired of making excuses for sloth and inertia?

I think it's more objective to listen to both, but honestly, I don't believe either.

I thought Cho had a plan?

Looks like his plan is winning with KP's roster.

The way I look at it Cho thought he was walking into a job where it would be a cakewalk, and found out he had a near disaster to deal with. The Blazers do not have many pieces that are worth a fuck to trade, and even those are limited in value. Outside of Aldridge, all the teams main stars have turned into medical gimps. Most of the bench talent was let go in between seasons. So I am not sure what folks expect him to do with this mess. Any player that is worth a fuck that he trades immediately creates a new hole to fill. Most of the salary cap will be taken up, so he will be limited on what he can do in free agency down the line. I just don't know how he is supposed to succeed when he is pretty much set up to fail.

It's funny you keep directing your ire at KP's replacement. Maybe you should start setting your sights a little higher up the food chain?

It's Cho's job to sell PA on what he wants to do and I don't think PA is necessarily buying it, especially after the Bayless trade. From day 1 I haven't been convinced that Cho is the right guy for the job and I wouldn't be surprised if PA is starting to have these thoughts as well. He's obviously not buying what Cho is selling. You can try and blame it on PA meddling too much but it's not something no other GM has to deal with. I don't buy that excuse.

Again, the initial question by B-Roy was "Who could we go after?" Have I said that it is a slam dunk? Have I said that Cho's a loser if he doesn't make the deal? No--all I've said is that there are other players we could pursue, and that there are ways to make the salaries match.

What are you reading into my responses that I haven't actually said?

So you're not saying we didn't pursue them, only that we could of? Then never mind. :)

From Chad Ford:

Kevin (Portland)

Any moves left for the Blazers to make?
Chad Ford (1:54 PM)

They're talking. Andre Miller is out there. Joel Przybilla too. They've also, as we've talked about for the past month, been quietly shopping Greg Oden. Devin Harris was their top target and now he's off the table. Not sure where they turn.

As always you are misleading, that's Kevin, not evin.
